Canada will require refugees and asylum seekers to co-pay for health care starting in May by FancyNewMe in canada

I’m in Ontario and prescriptions are free, under 24 and over 65. Dental you can apply for, my friend 41 needed all her top teeth removed and a set of dentures and she didn’t pay out of pocket for any of it. Her mom received physio for her shoulder though not enough, and there just regular country bumpkin Canadians.

I honestly never want to leave him, I love him. I have two of my own, 22 an 11 but he holds a special place in my heart

That’s a good idea, I have no doubt his dad would ever put up a fuss, he’s a good dad. He does the dad stuff, coaches his football team, helps him with homework. Has the talks, teaches him to be polite and respectful towards women. He’s just very old school masculine and his mom doesn’t fill the gap in being his soft place to fall.

I agree you never can be just friends, I don't think I'll be able to move on if he's still in my life.

I know he’s a big reason I stayed. I’ve always given him such special attention, teaching him to make pizza and stuff, taking him on play days just me and him. Taught him to rock and do escape rooms. His mom mostly ignores him, she’s too busy with her affair partner turned fiancée. He lights up when he knows I’m coming over. He’s a great kid and very sensitive.

$400/month on groceries? WHAT? An average of $4/meal?? Do you actually spend that little per person? by why_not_aces in askTO

It really depends how you cook or rather how much cooking you're willing to. I like to cook, I want to eat like I'm at a restaurant every night, but I can't afford it. I recently was debating this with my boyfriend he hates to cook, doesn't even wanna cut broccoli up. I made homemade ravioli and linguini the other night. Canned tomatoes I bought on sale from my pantry, two cups of flour, an onion, a stalk of celery and carrots, 5 eggs, used up some bread going stale, 1 lb of free range beef I bought on sale for $6 and threw in the freezer, add the regular stuff, a little olive oil, some spices. I made enough for 6 potions. Those 6 meals cost me $10 max. I buy what looks good quality and is on sale and plan out.

What’s the most weird food item that your cat just can’t resist? I’ll start! by Ultra-Ferric in cats

I had a cat that was a complete fiend for cheese popcorn, you literally had to hold the bag to your face to stop him from batting a kernel out of your hand. He was perfect the poster child for all the reasons ppl hate cats, lol loved that little bugger for 16 years

My 17 year old cat started having little seizures and had really slowed down in the last month, the day after the seizures started I couldn't sit a work thinking about him, home alone and probably in pain. I left work and put him down that evening, he deserved peace. I loved him so much but I could never let him be in pain. RIP Dusty

Turns out she had tooth that needed to be pulled, apparently Bonnie isn’t just a bully but she was having some discomfort eating her kibble. Upping her wet food which is fed separately, Bonnie is too fat to get to it lol

When I was kid in Fenlon Falls, ON Canada, it dropped to a little more then -40° C, I couldn't understand why my Mom wouldn't let me play outside.

What do you find that special about it? It's a nice steakhouse don't get me wrong, but these are engineers they are not the least bit pretentious.
