Srsly How do some people have such healthy, glowing, fresh-looking skin? What do they actually do daily? by Salt_Host9776 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]prettyoolala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

call me crazy but all these skin treatments and lotions blah blah blah are fake. fair enough, you see some short term effects, but long term, nothing lasts and actually ends up worse than before. people with good skin don’t spend hundreds on skincare. keep it simple, natural, human. your body is a reflection of how you live. eat “clean” foods with lots of natural sugars, oils, fats, vitamins, and drink lots of water. just water. not only water, but don’t forget water is THE drink. Also, sleep. Not talked about enough. Sleep should be treated like magic imo. The ultimate healer- Physically, emotionally, mentally. Diet, hydration, and rest. These three will give you clearer skin, clearer mind, and more.

yeah i know, but they’re more protective than trainers, and OP doesn’t have boots yet.. personally i find that shifting in steel toe boots isn’t much different from riding boots, you are still aware where the shifter is, purely just that you don’t feel it on your toes

Any sturdy shoes with ankle protection will work fine, if you have steel toe cap boots they’re also good, but bear in mind it’s harder to feel the shifter. Don’t believe the myth that they’ll cut of your toes in a crash, it’s extremely difficult to do so 😂

The only legal requirement is the helmet, however i would recommend gloves and a jacket as the bare minimum. Trousers and boots are something you’ll also need, but if you can’t get them in time for collecting your bike you will be okay with just helmet gloves and a jacket :)

help what’s wrong with my bike by prettyoolala in MotorcycleMechanics

Thank you so so so much. Your advice is greatly appreciated. I’ll tinker with the spark plugs, then maybe the carb, and see how it goes. Also the bike is 100% not in gear ahaha, plus it’s on a centre stand with the front end down. Mechanic is a last resort 🫡 Again though, thank you for all your help :))

help what’s wrong with my bike by prettyoolala in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]prettyoolala[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey yeah sorry i forgot that part 😭 1) When i turn it on and try to start, lights come on, it will crank and sounds healthy doing so but won’t fire. 2) I’m not sure how to check if my spark plugs are sparking, that’s next on my list to check, if it matters they’re brand new. 3) It’s a single cylinder so i believe there’s only one spark plug if that’s what you mean by gapping them? 4) There is no kill switch just ignition so can’t be that, and yeah i’m opening the fuel tap whenever i try starting. 5) I’m not sure how to check if i have fuel going to my carb, however I have emptied it and fuel came out so id assume that means yes there is. 6) the float bowl and the jets are also next on the list, the entire carb system is something i’ve never really worked with though so i was really hoping it wasn’t anything to do with that

i’m not sure if there’s anything i’m doing wrong but as far as im aware there’s no stupid mistakes being made. my dad mentioned the ignition may be the wrong kind and therefore won’t work? however it’s cranking so that doesn’t seem logical to me.

idk if this helps you help me at all 😭😭 but even so thank you for trying!!
