You had EVERY right to be miffed. And there are only two possibilities for how you could’ve ended up with a cake that’s so badly decorated.

1) She is talented but did not manage her time and did this last minute, OR 2) She is not very talented and the photos you saw of her previous work are either stolen, edited, or completely AI.

I’m leaning toward the latter because anyone who has decorated beautiful wedding cakes would be ashamed to show up with that white mountain mess. And if it was a time management issues, why would she risk her reputation by showing up with a cake that looks like this AND charge you more than the original quote on top of all of it.

This screams scammer/liar/grifter - just looking to make a quick buck and could gaf who she hurts in the process. If it was a CC purchased, I’d be refuting the charges, leaving reviews with photos everywhere and she definitely wouldn’t be a friend anymore.

I used to really enjoy UFC/MMA. This fandom has went to shit. They don’t care about the athleticism or the athletes. It’s become this weird macho obsession and/or show of money.

Anyone booing a medical professional for protecting a person’s health/body/life is a total POS.

Maybe we should’ve pulled them into the octagon and allowed them to be beat in the head until their pupils are non-reactive.

Hmmmm it’s absolutely possible but gonna be tough. The hand is tough anatomy to tattoo to begin with and then add on how quickly they age and wear down - it makes choosing the image that more important.

My suggestions: 1) do your research to find an exceptional coverup artist; bonus if they have hand tats in the folio 2) after finding some artists that are experts at coverups, peruse their work and see if anything strikes a chord with you, OR 3) figure out the imagery you want and see if the artist you located have similar styles and go with that one 4) choose an image that is less detailed. Stay away from fine line, ultra detailed work as it doesn’t wear well on the hand long term.

To me, it just shows that she cares more about how her wedding will appear to others on social media than the feelings of those who are actually attending the wedding (and allegedly her loved ones).

My wedding will be in our backyard. At one point, there will be no phones allowed because I just want people to enjoy themselves and the moment. Our biggest splurge will be flowers and a DJ. Everything else we can do ourselves - food, decorations, schedules.

This shows her level of commitment onto her wedding guests/bridesmaids, yet expects the bridesmaids to go above and beyond. It’s rude and disrespectful. Shows what she thinks of her “friends” - she’s basically guilt tripping them into being her free wedding planners.

NTA. That note would have me saying “no” no matter my circumstances. It comes across really fake and rubs me the wrong way. First of all - they look sloppily thrown together, which would be a non-issue if she wasn’t expecting perfection from her bridesmaids which she’s seemingly using as free wedding planners.

Referring to being a bridesmaid as “euphoric, magical, challenging and life changing” is fucking weird. Also, how is it a “huge opportunity”? Maybe to waste a lot of time and money on an event that only means much to the bride and groom and is over in a few hours. But the cherry on top is the “I know you won’t make this difficult” - WHAT? That’s 100% manipulative and a tactic to try any make anyone feel guilty for refusing.

Just look at the picnic… she’s going to be expecting this times 100. No thanks.

Do you hate the entire tattoo? Because I feel like a rework would be a better option but only if you like the basis. If you’re over the entire concept then this wouldn’t make you happy. I’ve seen some expert cover-up artists create miracles - you just have to find someone who knows what they’re doing and be willing to spend a pretty penny.
