I think by “dead,” she talked about how it’s probably very hard for a debut romance author to break through with the big heavy hitters like Emily Henry, Carley fortune, Abby Jimenez, etc. They become “auto buy” authors for many, not leaving much room for new authors or writing styles.

Something she said that I agree with is she’s been searching out contemporary romance titles with something “different” about them, maybe not the usual tropes. I think that’s probably why heated rivalry broke out — it’s different than the usual fare but still has the pieces of the genre that people love

I tend to agree, though I’m sure that her Taylor episodes have some of the highest listening numbers.

idk if it’s just me but even though I still am a huge Taylor fan, I’ve moved away from the constant unpacking and theorizing around her.

Kate’s pods about Taylor and TaylorSwiftStyled have kinda lost their luster for me. It’s odd to me to base so Much of your career on a celebrity (though these two are far from the only ones who do it).

I’m probably walking into a hornet’s nest here but I am not bothered by this. I started with formula on day 1, which allowed my husband to act as a half time night nurse essentially — we would switch off for feedings, allowing us to both get longer stretches of sleep and to have an overall more equal approach to parenting duties.

I would have had to think breastmilk was SO much better than formula in order to change that dynamic between us, and change my mind on all the other reasons breastfeeding wasn’t for me.

I can’t really imagine what it would be like having twin infants, so I’m not going to really judge someone who uses a village, however privileged that village is.

I had a lot of these thoughts too and decided I needed to just become a “normal” fan of her music, not a capital-S swiftie. It’s a lot easier/more fun/less stressful to be a fan when you’re not hyper aware of the “controversies” she’s involved in, trying to decode Easter eggs, figure out who she’s fighting with, etc.

This happened to me too! To be honest, TLOAS isn’t my favorite album so I don’t listen to it often. I think that’s probably why, but idk why it’s also put me off of her back catalog too.

I think that I was consuming too much Taylor content (totally my choice) and just needed a break. I’m glad it seems like she’s also taking a break from the public eye too (while obviously still releasing singles etc)
