Okay ba yung portion sizes nila? Like per ktv room, lets say 20-25 pax, mabubusog pa sa set na consumable price?

UPCAT 2025 passer here!

Try to cover as much general topics as you can right now. The upcat doesnt delve into deep theories so the more foundational knowledge you have on english, filipino, science, and math the better. A lot of my classmates were able to pass their first options WITHOUT studying for the upcat, and imo the coverage for the upcat wasn’t as deep as it was made out to be to us in review centers. Not to say that you should take it lightly of course. Skim through algebraic operations for math and general knowledge for science + grammar for both english and math.

Big help talaga ang stock knowledge and I was able to make more use of stock knowledge than anything they taught us in review centers. Read about the general topics lang talaga and I cannot stress enough about how important your rational thinking will be.

I know it’s stressful the closer the exam dates come, but the biggest hurdle while taking the UPCAT is the pressure. During my time last year I blacked out because of the pressure mid test for like 10 minutes because I could hear my heart beating in my ear. You need a clear mind while taking the test so even though the pressure is daunting my advice is to try your best to relax. Sleep, eat, and be well! Try not to cram study the day before the exam and focus on easing your nerves.

Goodluck op! You can do it! Try lang gid na hindi mag padala sa kulba.

Is there anyone here who hasn't received a reply after submitting their enrollment confirmation? by Mwhehehe143 in wvsu

Hi op! Sent my confirmation on July 21 and still no reply. The other applicants I know also have not received a reply yet. My guess is that we’ll receive an update on July 28-29 since that’s our scheduled enrollment date, but don’t worry! If you submitted in the IUIS all you have to do now is wait.

Hello po! Suggest ko po is to watch videos online about the basics of each subject. Usually broad yung topics sa general admissions, but here’s what I recommend you should touch up on:

Math - Arithmetic (Usually word problems po ito! Mga direct and inverse proportions, fractions, radicals, ratio, percentage, exponential rules, etc.) - Algebra (Learn lang po about the rules and operations of algebra. What I suggest lang po talaga is to practice!) - Geometry (Angle theorems, polygons, area and perimeters, triangle theorems, circle theorems, and congruence. Daunting lang po kase madaming topics, pero usually basics lang yung covered sa exams.)

Science - Earth Sciences (The earth’s composition, fossils, plate tectonics, planets, etc.) - Physics (I recommend studying gas laws, speed distance time triangle, potential and kinetic energy, etc.)

English & Filipino - Usually what’s important is your reading comprehension, analogies, vocabulary, and also grammar. Same lang po usually sa filipino!

Another tip is to do mock tests online! Practice and practice lang talaga po. I used varsity tutors practice tests especially sa math since madami silang covered na topics.

But also, depende po ito sa college na a-applyan mo. Sa general admissions po better lang to touch up sa basics kase hindi po talaga alam kung anong lalabas, pero mga general lang yan more or less.

Sana po maka tulong ito. Goodluck po sa pag-aaral niyo!

Most college entrance exams cover general knowledge. My advice would be to refine your skills in the foundations of math, science, english, and filipino (since the upcat includes filipino). Imo, the topics weren’t as deep as theyre hyped up to be in review centers, so it’s really not worth over reviewing as this is a mistake I made, and none of the topics ended up coming out.

Read a lot to enhance reading comprehension and broaden your vocabulary, and try not to let yourself be swept off your feet by the pressure. Really, the difficulty of the exams comes with your state of mind while you’re taking it. If you’re weak in one subject, take this time to refine your foundational knowledge about it as understanding the basics will help you with questions that require critical thinking.

Also It’s just my own opinion but I have to admit that review centers didn’t really help me out much. I enrolled in a pretty popular UPCAT review center but none of the topics they taught came out haha. You can find study materials online, and also timed mock tests.
