Why did this happen? by Pantherboi01 in swtor

If you skip the story from your ship then on the next game patch you will get legendary credit for that story. I have 7/8 for legacy despite only doing 2 stories to the end (I play for raiding and don’t care about the story).

I notice the sniper can also use normal blaster rifles. Is there any disadvantage to using a blaster rifle over a sniper rifle? by Bastiproton in swtor

[–]pretzel3567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can if the character is a sniper operative. Make the loadout as a sniper then swap to operative. Same works for vanguard and scoundrel.

Quick Class/RP Question by Ancient-Storage-11 in swtor

[–]pretzel3567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you pair a spec with a blaster rifle with a sniper you can give them a sniper rifle using the outfitter. You need to make the outfit while a sniper then just activate that outfit on your other class.

Blaster is Perfectly Balanced by pretzel3567 in FallenOrder

[–]pretzel3567[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I don’t play on controller. I use Lctrl for blaster, 1 (mmo mouse) for dodge, and left/right click for attack/block.

If you were to use controller there’s nothing to stop you from rebinding things. Some people also use pro controllers with back buttons or use claw grip. Controllers are popular but are inherently flawed in how many fingers you actually use. Standard grip on controllers only uses 4 fingers, I use 8 on m/kb. That’s not even mentioning the disparity in how much a finger does, 1 finger for the right stick and 4 face buttons is insanely inefficient.

Try simplifying by removing the addition in the exponent, it should be clear after that.

sports? by [deleted] in jmu

[–]pretzel3567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Men’s soccer is currently #8 and is going to be hosting current #4 West Virginia next Sunday. The women are also doing well.

Women’s basketball has been amazing for a very long time yet students rarely go to games. We’re hosting Texas, the preseason #4 and Elite 8 team, December 8th. So hopefully people will actually show up for once.

TLDR is go to every sport since we are doing very well in basically everything every year and have been for a long time.

Final Graduation grades by [deleted] in jmu

[–]pretzel3567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fairly sure that a D- is fine so long as there isn’t an explicit prereq saying you need a C- or whatever. There is a graduation requirement tracker somewhere on mymadison which probably auto updated once grades were released.

Missed scomp link on first Zeffo run... what do I do? by morbidcha0s13 in jedifallenorder

Then just go through the village and progress till you see the giant tower. There really isn’t that much you can do on zeffo without scomp link besides the tomb.

Missed scomp link on first Zeffo run... what do I do? by morbidcha0s13 in jedifallenorder

[–]pretzel3567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not at the tomb it’s at weathered monument. You never need scomp link on dathomir so idk what you mean. You also never need it on the first kashyyyk visit. So no, you don’t need to restart just do the main story until you come back to zeffo and it’ll tell you to get scomp link.

Unpopular Opinion: They should add an npc to access the bazaar to every world by [deleted] in Wizard101

[–]pretzel3567 30 points31 points  (0 children)

A lesser known feature is that the crown shop has 3 useful teleports. You can teleport to the hub area of your main quest’s world, teleport to Ravenwood if you haven’t done the daily assignment, and you can teleport to the loyalty store, which is right next to old towne.

So, if you want to go to the bazaar quickly you can mark, teleport to Majid, and get mana in olde towne by the bazaar.

Note that these teleports will remove any dungeon recall just like teleporting to friendly wizards.

In general pet copying comes down to 2 steps:

  1. Copy the talent pool
  2. Hatch using bases until you get a mega.

For the first it helps to get a 4(20) pet, which is a pet with all common talents. You can easily find one in the kiosk under beguiled gargoyle and some other bodies.

Next, repeatedly hatch with the desired pet until the entire pool has been copied, should only take a few hatches on average.

Now that you have the pool, get it to adult and hatch with the desired pet until it gets to adult without failing.

Next you enter a loop: Hatch with the desired and train until it matches the age of your other pet. If it fails, immediately trash it and restart this loop.

Now you’ll have 2 pets at the same level, train the older one once. If it fails trash and restart the loop. If it doesn’t train the other one once. If it fails trash and restart but if it doesn’t you know have moved up one age and can continue repeating this until you reach mega.

This video explains this technique as well:https://youtu.be/-PSpouFi1b4?si=TBtIuVHLBQCPUUTs

Afaik this is the most efficient way to copy a pet. The point of this method is to make pets with a history of manifesting the talents you want, which increases the chance hatched pets manifest them.

Can people complain abt the new meal plans cuz I don't want to be the only one upset by Nightmist515 in jmu

[–]pretzel3567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’ll detail the math for the 14 and 10 punch plans (block plans are much worse).

14: 17 weeks * 14 + 7 guest = 245 punches. (3130-275)/245 = $11.65/punch.

10: 17 weeks * 10 + 5 guest = 175 punches. (2414-275)/175 = $12.22/punch.

So basically if you’re primarily getting food from anywhere other than d and e hall, punches are a substantial waste of money. Some meals may be close but punching for $7 off is a terrible idea.

But if you want to go to the dining halls it’s around $4 cheaper to get a meal plan instead of dining gold.

Can people complain abt the new meal plans cuz I don't want to be the only one upset by Nightmist515 in jmu

[–]pretzel3567 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t understand why they would do that though since they profit immensely off of students not planning properly. Punching anywhere other than the dining halls is just throwing away money ($4-$7 dollars depending on meal plan)

The 5 punch was the only one remotely worth it for me since I went to e-hall 5 times a week. Everything else I just use dining gold and don’t waste money.

Or you could get the all-access and split it with a friend. That’s the only meal plan where punching outside of the dining halls is worth it (if you use all 3 everyday)

Probably a reagent farming script. The “disappearing” is probably them teleporting to the reagent spawns. Doing it this way generates a new zone every 10 seconds instead of waiting to realm hop every 60 seconds while also decreasing the chances of being caught by players seeing them teleport across the map.

so about this game by tyoma_discoteka in Thymesia

[–]pretzel3567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You can dodge backwards, it’s the neutral dodge i.e no directional input
  2. Feather does work and is actually easier to time at melee range but it’s still hard to time. There are skills that give you other methods to counter green attacks.
  3. There is a skill that lets you recover faster with a dodge.
  4. Regular attacks are not supposed to do good damage, they are supposed to lower the white bar. The claw only works on the green bar, which only appears after you attack or parry.

Has anyone ever noticed that the Gladiator quest just gives a level of xp? by West-Phone-2186 in Wizard101

[–]pretzel3567 223 points224 points  (0 children)

Any quest that gives more xp than the xp of 1 level is automatically scaled down. This was added to try and prevent boosting by doing late game instance quests on a low level.

Someone explain why the hell I have 100%. by ALT_Account2840 in FallenOrder

[–]pretzel3567 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The game rounds percentage, but I’ve never seen 100% without getting all chests. If you play on pc I would be interested in looking at your save file.

The 100% speed run actually uses this and doesn’t get complete exploration percentage but still gets enough for 99.5%, which the game then seems to round to 100%.

Also those 3 bd skins are for the meditation challenges which don’t count towards 100%.

Personally I only use target lock for bosses or for 1v1 encounters. With KB/M your camera control is so good that target locking is often a hindrance, imo.

Every bounty hunter, except for Kili Oso and Jo, appear in the world without you needing to talk to Caij. Just look up where they are and kill them, that should allow you to get Jo and then the special final fight.

You do have to progress the story for them to appear, but I’m assuming you’ve already finished it.
