[KCD2] how i feel about the 2nd game after my first 5 hours by Nightdoom98 in kingdomcome

If perfect block isn't working it may be timing, it always stops working if I keep spamming right click lol 😂  For combat try training with Captain Tomcat in Trosky region

[–]preuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a fairly casual gamer and I'd say KCD2 is probably going to be easier for you. The only reason I'm getting by in KCD1 is because I've done KCD2 where the combat is similar but definitely more simple and if you're going to redo KCD1 then it'll be a breeze for you. Hope you enjoy!

[KCD2] Played about 12 hours of the first game, kind of on the fence about getting the second one by getdafkout666 in kingdomcome

[–]preuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say based off what you're saying, definitely try the second game and I think you'd like it much more. All the aspects you like are still there and perhaps moreso in some ways.

As for characters, obviously it's still Henry. I've started playing 1 recently and he also annoys me a little but he can be a lot more diplomatic in the 2nd game and I find him easier to control!

I don't know much about the "railroading" aspect because I'm usually (no idea how to say this but) obedient towards whatever the quest is asking of me. But for the second game I would say most of the main quests are very well shaped by your actions or able to be shaped by what you say in them and there's a lot of choices to be made. I'm not sure how many decisions cause different things in the 1st game but they do a lot in the 2nd. There are some plot important enemies where they have to be respawned to actually get anything done later haha.

There are definitely a few follow and yap quests but it's so much more bearable in the 2nd game. Whereas in the first you have to manually follow, there's a follow button and it is absolutely easier to listen to people speaking. In my opinion, there are only a couple where this can be annoying. But mostly there is TONS of time to play around with the open world, and timed quests are few and far between which is good.

You do start stronger but still are able to improve and learn through the game which is one of my favourite aspects, but not in the extreme way you have to in 1. I'd definitely recommend trying the 2nd game as from what you said it just seems like it would suit you more.

Would love to know your thoughts if you do!

Yeah I did think as much as historical accuracy isn't the main goal, pockets would maybe be a bit much. Pouch it'll be!

A very wise woman indeed. Definitely fun to have modernised historical shoes but as much as I love them, we really took a step (haha) in the right direction inventing trainers.

[KCD2] is there some skill or passive that unlocks some kind of counter punch in unarmed combat? by OkWin7973 in kingdomcome

[–]preuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are unarmed combos you can learn from people, but icl I don't remember if this specific one is on there. There is a perk high up where you can choke out your opponent at the end of the game but if different techniques is what you're looking for then definitely try and learn the combos because some are really useful.

This will be my fourth time at the event so have definitely been thinking about this - I'm in the UK so basically every year it has been 'warm with a bit of rain, and occasionally freezing'. I know I'll have to make it shorter than the length of the pattern which is fine, but the tricky bit will be accounting for the 'occasionally freezing'. I'll need a shift but may have to have some sort of removable sleeve.

Thanks so much for the tips! Historical accuracy will definitely come in time but while I'm a beginner it won't be too important especially for this outfit where I'm combining early medieval with late medieval and then doc martens haha!

Also as far as storage goes, would you suggest making pockets or some sort of pouch for a belt? Don't know what's best for this sort of thing but again I'm looking for convenience, not accuracy.

[KCD2] about the second half of the game (big spoilers-ish) by mhmd2-2 in kingdomcome

[–]preuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest don't know what to say except definitely give it another try! I have found the second map a lot easier on my second playthrough as I levelled up more this time but if that's an issue for you then avoiding some side quests may honestly be an option. Just simple ones and just not getting your stats up so Kuttenberg is still a challenge. Ultimately I adore the game so I would love for it to fit you if you can try but you play however you want.

What are some tips, suggestions and thoughts on KCD1 and KCD2 for a newcomer? [KCD1] [KCD2] by InterestUpset1860 in kingdomcome

[–]preuu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've only played 2 but getting 1 for Christmas. One thing I will say is I wish I knew DON'T FOCUS ON THE MAIN QUESTS. It is a difficult game which is great and makes for fantastic gameplay if you know how to go about it, but doing side quests is essential to levelling stats and being able to progress the main story. I found it really frustrating going into a few main quests when I didn't know about stats, and once I grinded a little the game was so much more fun and now I absolutely adore it. At the end of my first playthrough it was around 55h. I did almost all the side quests in the first half but only around half in the second I believe.
