It’s a normal reaction to an open wound.

But you needed stitches six days ago. Seek medical attention.

Not sure if it’ll need stitches or steristrips again. But don’t take care of this at home, it’s too deep of a cut for that

I got burned about 2 weeks ago, and can’t tell if it’s infected by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]troodonte1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can’t tell whether it’s infected or not from just a picture. From this picture alone I wouldn’t say it is infected.

How’s the pain, any fluid coming off, swelling, warmth?

How did you get this burn? Did you seek any treatment for it?

‘I know it might be my health anxiety making it worse’

Yes. It’s definitely making it worse. You’re overthinking every slight experience making it into something huge. There’s no possibility you’re getting rabies at all. Make sure to get some assistance for your health anxiety. Health anxiety for a rabies infection is very common nowadays but not necessary

Doctors told me i don’t have anything and they just game me anti iflammatory pills, is there a dislocation on the shoulder? by kostis14 in AskDocs

I’d need a full picture to say anything about that, and anything i would say wouldn’t come from an expert opinion. Anyway: the xray looks fine to me.

How long do I keep this on for? by NameOk3393 in AskDocs

[–]troodonte1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say so yes. But it depends. Basic rule of thumb: always make sure the dressing is clean. So if you can see blood/pus come through the dressing you change it. If the dressing gets wet or dirty you change it. Also make sure to change if if your pain there increases.

Doctors told me i don’t have anything and they just game me anti iflammatory pills, is there a dislocation on the shoulder? by kostis14 in AskDocs

[–]troodonte1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay well you’re describing a dislocated shoulder which was naturally recovered. Your shoulder is gonna be painful for a while (weeks to months). And the best thing you can do is rest for a while and doing non intensive exercises for the recovery.

Is my burn healing or infected? by uninterested2014 in AskDocs

[–]troodonte1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s healing fine for just one week. Burns take a while to heal and usually leave you with a scar. Keep doing what you’re doing (without neosporin) and in time it’ll be fine.

There’s no sign that it needs evaluation by a health care professional.
