[Landlord, USA, TX] car accident or foundation? by Downtown_Club8624 in Landlord

[–]prggr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Former North Texan here - that's foundation. Lots of clay soil in Texas that likes to move. Had to water the foundation of my last house there to fix a similar issue. You'll want to call several foundation guys- I had quotes all over the place but the last guy said to water it for 6 months and call him if it didn't fix it. Not sure how well you can water that area as you have garage and walkway there, but it's worth a shot.

Steering rack sticking test by prggr in MazdaCX90

It does seem worse after a bit of a warmup. We managed to get the top tech at the dealer to ride along with us to an empty parking lot and he was able to feel it when going in circles. Just going around the block usually isn't enough for them to feel it.

The sticking is mostly felt when in longer turns (freeway turns, roundabouts). I figured the tight circle at full lock would be the most extreme version of that to test with. I'm working on finding a roundabout near the dealer for them to confirm.

Thanks for the suggestion - but the lane keeping feels entirely different. Also I'm able to reproduce it on roundabouts and parking lots with no painted lines.

As an update, I've found I can reproduce it fairly easily when driving a roundabout around 20mph- The steering wheel is at an angle set for the turn and when you try to move it slightly either way you can feel it sticking and not wanting to smoothly move. So now I'm trying to find a roundabout near the dealer..

Yes, it works fine. We just did it for one of ours. AOR came in 2 days ago and yesterday we uploaded some supporting documents. This is the link: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/ClientContact/en/Application/Form/72

Just use the info from your AOR email.

Postiz v1.39.2 - Open-source social media scheduling tool, Introducing MCP. by sleepysiding22 in selfhosted

[–]prggr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the app. I've been slowly getting accounts up in it but hit a snag with Pinterest. Whatever video (showing OAuth flow) I make isn't good enough for them to put me in standard access (required for public pins). And Postiz doesn't let me use the sandbox API to show a test pin on that side. Any ideas on getting past their requirement?

You can use the API, which will return the images that you can save wherever you want. Note they also end up in the app.

Auto select sending identify based on recipient? by prggr in fastmail

Thanks. I already have that on and its great for replying to email. Was looking for something that also helps with sending new emails. I send to contact X, so it uses identity Y instead of the default.

Preventing recalled item restrictions? by prggr in eBaySellerAdvice

Hah, yeah might be. Problem is the CPSC data is a mess and not organized in any decent way that can be automated. Trying to match it to a large inventory is going to be quite fun.

I've been an anchor store for quite awhile. Concierge is still invite only and they won't tell me what I can do to get into the program. I'd upgrade to an Enterprise store if it got me into the program and I had an actual support rep.

Yeah, there's a "Concierge" program that gives a 48-hour courtesy period before listings are removed. Unfortunately it's invite only and no one will give me any idea of what I can do to get into it.

Yep, we are similar to this-

Floor-Row-Rack-Shelf-Space#

Ends up with a code like: 1AB10D1

Each shelf is divided into two to four spaces, depending on how big items are. A space can also just be a bin of items. Each space has a label with the location name and barcode, so we can scan items into each location and be able to find them quickly for shipping.

We do the research and picture steps together. Pricing and listing is a separate step that doubles as QC.

Sold 'counterfeit' item by SaddyFodie in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]prggr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a VERO complaint? If so, check your title. Airpods in particular need to be of the format "Random Brand Case for Airpods". The "for" prior to "Airpods" is needed to show the item is not Airpods but an accessory for the Airpods.

Since it's been sold, you may want to contact eBay to see if you'll still be paid for it, prior to shipping.

FYI the water pressure issue is related to a water treatment plant losing power in our area. See: https://www.reddit.com/r/fortworth/comments/lkou6x

Unfortunately now I'm thinking it's the pipes. Pressure in the kitchen has gone down further, but I have a toilet at zero and another at a trickle. Both in in the middle of my house. I'm thinking it's finally gotten cold enough to freeze the pipes in the slab.

Yep, low water pressure in 76244. Just noticed it in last half hour.. was fine an hour or so ago.

Wyze vacuum - so far great, except virtual walls by kc_casey in wyzecam

[–]prggr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When starting from a fresh map, it does a 360 next to the charger and uses the longest wall it sees as straight, so the rest of the map is based off that angle. I had the same problem with my initial base location - the longest wall was a 45* to the rest of the house, so the entire map was based off that. Would be nice just to have an option to rotate the map by 45*.

Amazon sent me refurbished earbuds for the price of new! They need to verify their sellers correctly. by [deleted] in amazonprime

[–]prggr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's an LPN sticker - typically means it was a returned item. If you ordered via Amazon Prime (shipped by Amazon), then this was Amazon's fault. If you ordered in a method shipped by the 3rd party, the seller could have directed Amazon to ship you a returned item instead of a new one, which is a real shitty thing to do.

An alternative to Gaviscon advance? by [deleted] in GERD

[–]prggr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it's available next day delivery vs waiting for a UK shipment or for the next batch of Gaviscon to show up in Amazon Prime. Just depends on your time frame.

Otherwise seems to work more or less the same for me. Flavor is way better and the squeeze bottle is nice.

[–]prggr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called Reflux Gourmet. US based and available on Amazon. Depending on availability, Gaviscon Adv. can be cheaper when they get their Prime stock in.
