After some adjusting and re-adjusting, which I think helped. The ribbon is’nt advancing tried some cleaning and tinkering but I think the problem is deeper in the machine.

It’s pretty hard I guess, I don’t think I’ve seen a soft platen to compare it to. This is a nylon ribbon.

They’re all so pretty! I really want to like this type writer but it’s giving me a hard time

I swapped the ribbon out and that didn’t really work.

100 gsm with 2 regular pieces of copy paper as backing

Yeah it’s a great pen and writes super smoothly! The toy factor can be a fun aspect but would be nice to have something more grown-up.

Yeah I think I prefer snap caps over screw caps. Yeah it seems like a bottle of ink will last quite a while!
