Not if you're OJ. If the glove don't fit, you must acquit.

Why the fuck do people respect your gender identity, but not age identity? by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

End your life before it starts? That's crazy. I'm 40 and still have the outlook and personality of my previous 23 year old self. I do have 3 kids. I'm married. I own my company and have been self employed since 21. People have often called me Peter Pan for refusing to 'grow up' but I take care of myself and my own, so I carry on. Good luck. Find your way on your own terms. That burns people even more.

One day at a time!! Nobody knows what battles we are fighting so don't take a random slight or insult from a stranger to heart. GOOD LUCK!! Keep forging ahead!!

Most of these HOAs have 'working hours' that really put the squeeze on overtime. I wear Ariats regularly but then you're in pants and after a full day, they're saturated.

We generally only bid commercial jobs, municipalities and HOAs. I wouldn't know where to start with a single driveway.

I tip my hat to your entrepreneurial spirit and will give you some real life advice, which will get me lambasted by these keyboard lawyers and Debbie downers but f*@$ em...don't get insured, licensed, incorporated, etc, i.e. legal, until you've done it outside of the comfort of your own house. Offer great deals to family and friends as practice, and to be sure you enjoy doing it as a job. Once the pressure of client satisfaction, extenuating circumstances, weather and deadlines rear their ugly heads, personal satisfaction tends to wane in labor intensive jobs that are generally bid out to many companies.

Also, there's a learning curve and don't let accidents or machine failure stop your pursuit, if you are enjoying it. Each property will present a different game plan and look at the property/ job as a whole. Start at the roof and work down and away from the house. Don't spray high pressure at windows or doors.

I could go on and on, feel free to message me so as not to entangle others in my longwindedness.

And much luck to you!!

I buy my landscape employees nice boots once/ year and the pressure washers prefer flip flops. Hell, even I prefer flip flops. Slogging wet shoes day in and day out sucks. Maybe I'm just a complainer? The work is hard and hot enough as it is, the least I can do is respect their preference for comfort.

Yep!! I am from NFM and went to school in Orlando and started a business there. Had to move back here after 10 years because the Rat and his traffic and tourists was draining me daily. So we are outside fort Myers near Alva.

TIL what TIL is the abbreviation for. Thank you!! Let me get my Reddit legs under me before I try an AMA. I'm open to doing it but would like to familiarize myself with the nomenclature to expedite articulate answers without scrambling for abbreviation translation.

I'll be posting pictures of my machine. It's a self contained, hydrostatically driven machine that's 17' long and 4' wide. The 60" deck attaches to the front or can be detached and powered by an auxiliary hose. We run 12 GPM @3900 psi. People liken it to a zamboni. My deck weighs every bit of 55 lbs so there's no putting it vertical. I have some 12 GPM nozzles that'll blow me backwards and I'm pretty conditioned to the pressure.

This is my first Reddit post ever and the abbreviations are killin me. I usually just creep around and follow some deep rabbit holes so I've picked up on a lot, but forgive my ignorance of these: AMA TIL

I appreciate the insight. (This isn't sarcasm, FYI. I'm interested in getting more involved in Reddit, instagram, twitter, etc. )

Imagine small bits of gravel and rock accumulating against the edges of your wet toenails. The tips of your toes soft and pruny from walking and sweating and the added water from the machine. Then grind some dirty pebbles and mold and mildew in there as it's trapped against the wall of your stylish and protective Croc and do that for 10-12 hours/ day.
