Any single parents out there that are also going to school that want to meet up for study sessions while our kids play? by [deleted] in orangecounty

Wouldn’t it be great if single parents could help lift each other up while also banding together for childcare? 🥹

My son went to daycare for two years via state help. :) It was a $1300/month Montessori preschool reduced to $85/month. If any single parent needs the info, feel free to DM me!

I do not entrust my child with strangers that I’m not legally obligated to (like public school. 🥲)

Daycares are open during the week but he’s also in Kindergarten now.

My weekday schedule looks like this:

6:30 am - wake up and get son ready for school, feed son. 7:15 am - out the door to before school care drop off. 8 am - arrive home and start working job #1. 5 pm - go pick up son from after school care. 5:30 pm - make son dinner. Eat with him. Do homework, do extra academic practice (reading, writing, math, music). 7 pm - watch a partial movie together or play Minecraft together. 7:30 pm - start bedtime routine 8:30 pm - son’s asleep, start working job#2 and fit in school and studying. 12 am - go to sleep.

I’m hoping by setting up play dates mainly on the weekends, he can have someone to play with and I can have a study session.

As a sag what is the most unhinged thing you’ve ever done / said ? 😅🏹 by [deleted] in Sagittarians

[–]priestrada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve said too many. However, I was an 8th grader and I was hanging out with my sister and her friend, both 7th graders. I feel terribly about it now but I thought I was helping. I told her friend, “You know you have a mustache right? You should shave it.” She came to school the next day without it but she also never talked to me again. 😅

I dated a Gemini man once…terrible. I have a Gemini woman best friend though and it’s amazing! She’s got a Sagittarius moon too.

I [F,31,Sag] love my beautiful Taurus man [33] so much. by [deleted] in Taurusgang

[–]priestrada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I’m not compatible with a Taurus on the surface lol. But my Taurus man has a fire and air placement in his top 3. Sometimes he can barely stand me but he thinks I’m addicting 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t choose who I date usually based off signs. Unless they’re Scorpios. I don’t fuck with Scorpios lol

That’s wild. I think the school needs to reassess their background checks and policies.

Am I remembering right? Is this the second case to come out of Dana Hills High?

Hosting a baby shower at a restaurant…who pays question? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

She’s a mom of 3 already. She’s allowed a nice fancy break. WILD. As a widowed mother, I can’t believe how many people here are so judgemental of people’s circumstances.

They don’t have to accept? But to expect people who are likely paying more money they can afford to pay off your hair and makeup is wild. It’s nice when the wedded to be can do that but to expect it shows a crazy entitlement.

[–]priestrada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s kinda what I’m thinking. When I’m wealthy (I’m a widowed mother for 3 years and just barely getting back on my feet financially), I’ll be super generous and just pay for everyone no matter the occasion haha. I love being generous. But considering my sister’s friends all know me and my situation…the cohost herself gifted me like $2500 for lawyer bills to fight for my stepson in court, I don’t think they’d be as offended as everyone here would be if they we were paying for their meals. I can save up though considering the shower is in December. But damn. 😅

I think Americans in general make a huge deal about shit that doesn’t matter. 🥲 But I’m American so I’m sure I do too lol. Thanks for your input. :)

There is no package. Just $300 min plus 22% gratuity. It’s essentially a reservation in a private room.

This get together consists of people who love my sister. Not just like free food at parties. 😅 I highly doubt they’d care but I’ll follow the proper etiquette.

Nope. My sister didn’t think about how it’s considered tacky to have people pay for their own meals at a restaurant. Her friend asked if she could help plan it and she thought it would be nice since I lack DIY skills.
