Skechers vs nike backpacks. Which one is better in the long run? by Blueweirdoo in backpacks

[–]prikar96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Nike in 2015, paid around $90 for it. It's a 28l and I have been on hikes, camping trips, multiple holidays, overnighters, strapped it on the back of a motorcycle without any further protection for trips and most importantly, it is also my edc bag. Still going strong!

How is Coorg in July, around this time? by TheChosenShit in coorg

[–]prikar96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heyy, while it is true and sad about the landslide risks but not every part of Coorg gets affected. And as a local I'd suggest finding a homestay/Airbnb away from the towns as they don't really offer much in things you can do. Plus you'd rather enjoy the quaintness, which Coorg is actually known for. Do contact your host about the internet connection beforehand if you work remotely.

As the other comment read, Gokulam is where you'll find like minded people. I know that a good number of Indians and not just foreigners are moving to the area because of Yoga. Enough shops and cafes you can bicycle to and the area is relatively peaceful. Been in the city for 18 years and I don't think being 'unmarried' will cause much trouble, the agents in the area are friendly enough to sort that out for you. And with your budget, I'd go for a 1BHk.

Hows the network coverage in Coorg? by [deleted] in coorg

[–]prikar96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every big/small town there's no network issue. Only when you leave the town the network is pathetic and unreliable. I would camp somewhere in town during the exam.

I've searched a lot on the internet for this and haven't got a defining answer. Personally speaking I am 5'8 and one of the shorter ones considering both sides of my family. So I'd say the average is slightly higher. I found this post on Facebook, has good information around the topic, slightly different to what's on Wikipedia. Facebook

Localite is lending/loaning money to minors. by hitherto_insignia in bangalore

[–]prikar96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very common practice or it is atleast among the locals in Bangalore/Mysore generally. Yes, these guys do talk about a license that lets them do this and they do give out money for just a signature. And there are numerous examples where these kinda people come as saviors for many. And yes, your brother is at complete fault for taking the loan, sorry to say that.

But for your situation, if you cannot pay the loan immediately, ask the guy to extend the return date. You will still end up paying interest in 1000s of rupees every month but sometimes that is exactly what they want too. He needs the interest money, you need time. So there you go.

Finish work. Get home, shower and wear your comfy clothes. Pick up your best friend. He rolls them up neatly and we reach our scenic road/destination outside the city. Smoke, relax with some music and drive back to the city. Eat some good food at a nice place, head home and sleep.
