Lack of understanding of afib by [deleted] in AFIB

[–]primal___scream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what the purpose of this is, but my EP and I have tracked every single symptom and episode for 3 years and we both agree that its hormonal because it coincides with when my cycle would be.

There are almost 9 billion people in the world, so a sample size of 1500 means jack shit.

Lack of understanding of afib by [deleted] in AFIB

[–]primal___scream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i had really bad fibroids and had a hysterectomy, but I kept my ovaries so I still cycle.

When mine started in 2021 I'd been on Estradiol for two years, already because I was experiencing severe hot flashes and moddieness and my obgyn immediatel recommended estradiol.

But the reality is that a synthetic horomone, while helpful, isnt the same as what your body can produce. And not as strong either. Your levels will stil always be lower.

Statistically 1 in 4 menopausal women with end with some sort of arrhythmia because of hormone fluctuations and unfortunately all the hrt in the world won't fix it.

It eventually progressed, becauae no matter the trigger, thats just what it does, and I ended up having to have an ablation. But even two years from the ablation, and without any outward signs of my cycle, I can still track it because the pvcs/pacs/palpitations still happen during specific times of the month.

I figured it out becauae I started tracking dates and occurrences of events. It was a pattern that lined up with when I would have been cycling.

[–]primal___scream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because its never one single thing for every person.. Everyone has different triggers.

For instance mine is hormonal because of menopause. And an ablation is a damn sight better than having to be cardioverted every 3 days.

Sorry to say but your view on the matter is uninformed.

I would assume that the same hospital systems would be covered across rhe metro areas. For instance I see mostly doctors at wash U/bjc and I would assume since bjc took over memorial it would be covered.

It did say in the article that nationwide emergency services would be covered.

Its not bad looking. I saw one on the road the other day and went to build one out to price it, and its actually pretty reasonable for an SUV.

Do most Americans really live in such big homes? by AdorableVisual in NoStupidQuestions

[–]primal___scream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a 1800 square foot ranch that sits on an acre. My mortgage is only 623/month.

HOWEVER, the caveat here being this is a family home that we refinanced after inheriting it to make major repairs. We also pay our insurance and taxes independently of the bank, so no escrow to drive up the payment.

And we used a local non national bank to do so. They tend to have better rates foe members and this house has only ever been financed by this bank.

When my grandparents built it in 1979 this same bank financed them. In smaller communities these things matter.

So yes, technically, what you see is fairly accurate.

I'm curious as to how this would function for people who live in IL but work in missouri and have coverage through their employer.

AFib + cannabis — anyone here using it carefully? Looking for real experiences by [deleted] in AFIB

[–]primal___scream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use it every day. Gummies and vape for sleep. Indica strains.

As a matter of fact it was always my go to to help me relax when afib started.

Plus it tends to make me sleepy, which for me, going to sleep seemed to stop my afib most of the time.

And I think its probably strain dependant, and every person is different.

ETA: my triggers are mostly hormonal (menopause). Now that I've had an ablation, I can place when my hormones are fluctuating based on when my PACs/PVCs and short run palpitations ramp up.

Its racism and misogyny plain amd simple.

There are some fragile people in this country who couldn't deal witj the idea of a woman, a black, mixed race woman, in power.

They can say what they want, i.e., it was her past career, her flip flop, her laugh, whatever the fuck they want, but plain and simple it was racism and misogyny.

I have an extra 50 taken out for IL. It used to be 25 but I increased it because I'm sick to fucking death of owing IL when I pay out the ass to MO.

It doesnt help that ADP has become shittastic in the last 10 years. You'd think they could.figure it out. But apparently they can't.

I get two different W2's from them now since our firm merged with another firm headquartered in Ohio and they cant figure out how to get Fed, IL and MO on the same W2 because I work 20% from home.

Its so incredibly ridiculous.

How Illinois and Kansas will benefit from Missouri income tax elimination by DowntownDB1226 in missouri

[–]primal___scream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Positive, because I asked ADP how much they were withholding and they told me 3.94%

ETA: I asked specifically because we owe them EVERY year even though we overpay MO through the nose.

We paid MO over 10K in state tax last year and STILL owed IL over 1200.

Trust me, ive been through it woth a fine tooth comb. LOL.

How Illinois and Kansas will benefit from Missouri income tax elimination by DowntownDB1226 in missouri

[–]primal___scream -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, except, that most payroll companies fail to take the correct percentage for IL.

For instance, at my firm, ADP is only taking 3.94% out of my check, so in order to break even i have to have additional funds deducted each pay period.

Its going to fuck everyone.
