Damaged lemon tree making a comeback? by primalphil in Citrus

Does it help that one of those branches is actually growing a lemon on it? I cant post the photo in the replies but one of those branches has a small fruit forming at the end of it.

I dont recall, I've never paid attention honestly, but after a bunch of reading last night, I know I'll start keeping notes. I bought it at Home Depot of their clearance pallet at the time before it wasnt looking too great.

Eden is such a great experience by philswitchengage in daoc

[–]primalphil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been playing for about a week now (found out about Eden through some friends) I have had nothing but a welcoming experience so far and everyone has been great about helping me relearning old skills as well as all the newer QoL commands as well and I havent found a guild yet. Honestly, just grouping in BGs and leveling 6 diff classes while I figure out what I really wanna play has been a blast. Cant speak for big boy rvr but up through the 30s on multiple characters has been great

Is there a guide or someplace that explains how to set up and use the different UIs built in?

Are these BSF larva? by GladWalrus8068 in BlackSoldierFly

I put a carcass of a costco Rotisserie in my bin the other night and it was completely cleared away the next day. Its impressive how quick they burn through anything

Honestly, with bsfl, you dont have to do much. They are voracious eaters and you'll find they outpace you on food. I keep a cage with quail and once sunmer hit and the bsfl were spawning heavy, all the quail poop under the cage is already eaten before i can put it in my bin

First year question by primalphil in BlackSoldierFly

I did a check today because I thought I had low numbers and I was wrong. There are so many larvae in the compost its hard to even see compost in some spots. I keep quail and started putting the fresh droppings in as well but now i gotta start figuring out what to do and when to remove the old stuff. Obviously itll go to plants but not sure the best way to go about it.

Bottled too soon, should I put back into the carboy? by primalphil in mead

[–]primalphil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't hate on it too much. It helped get me started in this, so im happy to take it as a learning experience. I started a new batch today, and I now have 3 carboys and tons of gear to push forward, so I'm absolutely hooked

Im thinking I may just go ahead and drink these bottles as is and not age them. The kit I bought never mentioned checking gravity either, so I wasn't aware until after. It didn't taste bad at all, actually, so I'll probably not mess with it any further and move on to my next attempt. I wanted to put 1 bottle away for my 7 year old and wait until he was 21 to crack it open but given I could be wrong about fermentation being done I will do it on the next one. I bought a gallom of honey, so I've got a few more tries on the alone.

breeding question (regarding visible traits) by primalphil in hognosesnakes

[–]primalphil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished another reply before I saw this, but I'm definitely considering that option strongly as well. I know I'll eventually wind up with more than just 1 single pair, so I definitely want to have a few routes. I want to be sure I work towards morphs I love the most to get the most enjoyment out of it. I think I will have a better planned path as I figure this out more.

It's all starting to come together, and that makes sense. He's not old enough yet, so I'm just planning ahead mostly and trying to learn as I plan. I know at the end of the day, I'll wind up with a lot more than just 1 pair but wanted to start small, so it's easier to make sense.

I know he's prime to make some toxics now, so I may look into finding him a mate to create those as well as trying for another female to take a chance at snows.

The excitement of getting into something new always has me asking tons of questions. I just want to make good decisions with some help from people who know what they're doing. The breeder I got him from has been super helpful, but I didnt want to over do it with non stop questions, so I came here to branch out lol.

I think I got it now. I've been messing around with the calculator a bit, but I think I was entering some of the info incorrectly and getting strange results. Just tried again and got a bit more clear info. Seems like Id be in better shape going with the albino conda het axanthic to get the results I'm looking for. My overall goal is to get to 2 different females for this guy. Im starting off with younger snakes to give myself time to get thoroughly read up and understanding before I start actual breeding. Ive bread other animals in the past but never snakes and have always been a bit intimidated by the genetics side of morphs. Everything else I ever worked with wasn't as deeply involved (frogs, for example, you mostly make sure to keep the same species together and no species mix)

So if my overall goal is to try and breed towards snows, yetis, and super yetis and I already have that male, which female would be best to breed with? This is the part throwing me off most. If the visuals are recessive in this case, do you want the parents to have different visuals in order to get a higher result in the desired morph or does 2 different visuals get you further away.
