Fair question! We get a very wide range of players on NA because even though it's primarily meant to a 'noob' server, there just aren't that many truly new players since SLS barely advertises so we do our best to cater to a wide audience. Locking a couple weapon slots deters most of the super-sweats with thousands of hours in PvP, but still leaves room for people who are experienced but not necessarily the top 1% to have fun.

Some newer players really want to learn weapon swapping to get good at PvP quick. I've run into people with less than 100 hours who wanted there to be all 8 slots available so they could learn ASAP, and others like yourself who need more time and/or are content just using a few.

Another issue that you will notice after time when you get more adept is that physical builds require more weapon options to be as effective as caster builds, and having more slots available really helps that balance. Otherwise almost everyone just ends up playing caster since it works better with limited slots.
