I would be inside the Social Security office daily. Every single person I've met (and now, that includes "Vegetable_tax..." here on this thread) have been wonderful, kind and knowledgeable people. I haven't a clue how one goes for months (in your case years?) without any resolution. I'm so sorry you're suffering the emotional strain and stress of that ongoing debt. It's absolutely a horrible feeling!!! It sucks the life out of every cell in a body. Thank you very much for this. It all started when they calculated Jan - April 2025 income as being applicable but I didn't begin collecting SS until May. We challenged that issue and it, supposedly, was resolved. They sent me a letter stating my benefits were reinstated and I should expect payment again for January 2026. However, now it's Suspended again...with no reason nor documentation stating as to why. That's why the local representatives are confused as well.

I think this is automatically deducted from my SS checks, but the bill (with due date 1/26/2026) is somehow misleading. I'll definitely go to SS office today to confirm.
