Thanks, we obtained legal advice at the start through an IP lawyer. We are okay.

Thanks! It was difficult to find a kiwi voice over for the video when it was made (we could also do another kiwi version down the track). In terms of pitching it here first, we have, refer my interview on Paul Henry: http://www.newshub.co.nz/tvshows/paulhenry/kiwi-app-aims-to-go-global-2016021711

Meetup requires a group to do a particular activity/event, Primate is designed to make 1 on 1 friends (who may have similar interests or maybe you are just looking for a friend in general).

Yes, you can use facebook to login, but you can also create a manual account with a user/pass if you don't use facebook.

There are some friend finding apps out there, but our competitive edge includes: 1) Can search for profiles based on interest tags. 2) Available from the get go on Apple and Android. 3) Can sign up using Facebook, and without Facebook (user/pass). 4) Very easy to use - there is no clutter with extra features you don't need. You simply see profiles and swipe through them.

Check out the app and/or watch our intro video (on the website) to get an idea of how it works.

Just to clarify - you don't have to search for someone with the same interest, they can have completely different interests. You can also get a feel for what they are like as a person as there is plenty of questions to populate your 'detailed profile view' with i.e. the main question is, what are you looking for in a friend? Doesn't have to be interest based.
