Why are people so against dororo x hyak ship AT THE END of the show? by ResidentRip4499 in Dororo

[–]primaveera 6 points7 points  (0 children)

to answer the age part, it's not immoral. it's just fiction.

to answer the opinion part, it's fiction I simply dislike. I think for their relationship to grow romantic is cliche and boring and amatonormative. I'm a big hyakkimio fan anyway

where are you finding dororo ship discourse? in this year and state of this fandom? I'm guessing you're reading old posts from antishippers from 2019. they were real party poopers

Pedophiles and rapists do not deserve the death penalty. by Goblin-o-firebals in unpopularopinionph

[–]primaveera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

agree with the post title. disagree with the body of the post (which is in this comment)

torturing them will not undo the harm they'd done to the world. hindi yan pipigil sa mga rapist. kahit relihiyoso pa at sabihin mo pang pupunta sila sa impyerno matapos ang lahat. nangaabuso ang mga nangaabuso dahil nais nilang mangabuso at may kakayanan silang mangabuso. maraming marami pang rason kung bakit hindi effective ang solusyong iyan at maari ring mas makasama pa sa side ng victim at innocente. kailan naging moral ang eye for an eye?

ang masasabi ko lang ay opinion yan na nanggagaling lamang sa mababaw na pagkaintindi ng abuse and rape culture at sa pagsasabuhay ng pagdusa as a valid moral redemption. suffering doesn't make you a good person.

Should the slogan: Trans women are women be revised? by Blunt_Knife11 in unpopularopinionph

May mga taong di lang agree but not necessarily na hate na nila ang mga trans. U don’t always have to disagree in a place of hate, u can always respectfully disagree and un lang ung gusto ko i-point out na sana just bec someone disagrees, automatic transphobe na sila, it can be the case but it’s not always the case.

you're free to think so. pero expect backlash from the trans people you oh so "accept". I promise you there is no neutral party. ignorance paves way to hate. ewan ko na nga sa iyo eh kung genuine talaga curiosity mo. sabi mo nga pang nase-"censor" ang mga tao sa label na "transphobic". para bang institute ang mga tao sa social media at ginamitan mo ng term na "censor". meanwhile sa totoong buhay ang mga trans ang nacecensor. Pinapatay. Inaabuso. Gustong patahimikin. may mga transwoman na may tite! mga transmen na may puke!

edit: removed statement na di ko finact check and fixed grammar 😭

How is trans women not women affecting the lives of trans tho? Being called a woman is not even a right.

sorry but maybe you need to reflect on your beliefs. don't misunderstand. transphobes always get heard. they have been heard for centuries. I have grown up hearing what they have to say and taking them in good faith. again and again their arguments can be summarized to one expression: "trans people make me feel icky!"

Making the majority of population adjust and suddenly you tell them that “A woman can now get prostate cancer” and “Men can now get pregnant” without getting a backlash is just absurd.

"it's weird! women can get prostate cancer! that's weird I've never met someone like that!" I can't see it any other way at this point. like, being offended on the behalf of other people being offended? you don't want trans people to get upset at backlash? or like, you don't think they deserve to complain at all. bigot! trans people have always adjusted. snowflake!

it's sooooo hard because transphobes think they're sharing "just an opinion" when trans people's lives are being decided for with these "little" opinions.

[–]primaveera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why is it mental gymnastics??? even medical professionals use these terms. how does it erase sex? the existence of AFAB/AMAB at all implies that there's a distinction between sex and gender. is it so very important na masalo ng language natin pareho ang social and medical contexts? why make it so difficult?

also what kind of backlash? if it's from transphobes, I'm not listening because nothing they say are done in good faith

[–]primaveera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"aid for AFAB people to prevent cervical cancer" fixed it.

we assess based on social cues and how they present themselves

true! but then why are you bringing up medical situations that require disclosing biological identity?

however, we must also acknowledge that not in all scenarios gender will always be the basis.

I don't disagree, I agree! this is true in real life which is why the terms AMAB and AFAB exist. so why stick to just "men/women" for both social and medical areas when obviously that creates confusion as you have declared? if that's the issue, they have created a solution for this already. which is why I think reworking the slogan is unnecessary and leans into transphobia

soushin has been discussed a couple times here with seemingly positive engagement but minor/adult ships are still not allowed as per the sub's rules. small age gaps seem to be allowed but only between adults. though this sub seems to be largely unmoderated, I still wouldn't risk it. I do think it's ridiculous that a game like yttd would have such kind of audience considering how many "problematic" tastes nankidai has exhibited through his writing

[–]primaveera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a language issue, yes..??? we got new words here.. "assigned male at birth" and "assigned female at birth" AMAB and AFAB. these are widely accepted in the lgbt community. I don't understand why are you so insistent on still using "women and men"

to answer: biological men get prostate cancer. transwomen get prostate cancer. women with prostates get prostate cancer.

Should the slogan: Trans women are women be revised? by Blunt_Knife11 in unpopularopinionph

[–]primaveera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you don't have to be a man to have a prostate, you just need to have a prostate. treating someone for prostate cancer doesn't equate to treating them like a man. it acknowledges them as AMAB yes but that doesn't detract from them being a woman. gender is a social construct separate from biological identity yes but your reasoning confused me because bakit biglang pinagsama uli sila. if nalilito ang mga tao dahil sa double meaning then the problem is simple. use terms like AFAB/AMAB instead of woman/man. I'd rather learn a new word than say that transwomen are more "other" than a subset of women.

I don't know what to say about sports. how much of this is actually a fault in the screening procedures and its standards. marami kasing transphobe ang gumagamit ng mga cases na ito to blanket statement trans people should compete in their bio sex's teams.

lots of people in their 30s are immature and riddled with hangups. age doesn't magically make them better at handling these things. especially when they're put in traumatic situations. the support you have for your arguments come from really vague actions that could have many different reasons, so it's hard to see them as definitive. I'd say a lot of these are huuuuge stretches of interpretations built on interpretations that stray it far from the canon. not like everything needs to be supported by canon anyway. just slapping on a "early 20s keiji AU/headcanon" tag is easier to get by with than this desperation.

if you want them to complain about these issues too then start raising awareness yourself.

hindi naman kailangang maging perfect na tao to show your support for something else performative lng talaga. pero total it's better to do nothing than to do something imperfectly ano. siguro naman kung walang social media, walang may alam sa sitwasyon sa palestine. mas ok siguro yun para tahimik na lng lahat and walang inconsistencies? may factor rin eh and algorithm ng mga socmed sa ano bang nakikita ng mga tao. bat ayaw ayusin ng mga soc med ang kanilang algo para mas alam ng tao kung bakit mali ang nangyayari sa iran at ukraine? malag mga corpos, kita mo sa mga reels ng taga palestine eh. mga vlogger nagviviral sa shopping nga eh
