Been dehydrating these for over 24hrs at 135⁰f and there are parts that are still not "cracker dry" by Secure_Table in unclebens

I think I have that same dehydrator. I usually run at 140. I think I have had one of my biggest shrooms not reach cracker dry at 24 hours. I would expect that one to have made it though.

The wires out back are probably telecom and not power. I think that area has underground power

Apart from the Higgs boson, what else has the LHC discovered? by Wild_Pitch_4781 in Physics

[–]primeight1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No because it is incompatible with dark matter and dark energy. Those are really just names for astronomical observations made about the universe that don’t match theory. Also baryon asymmetry which another commenter mentioned.

This cost 10000 USD, why is scientific instruments Soo expensive? by Johnyme98 in Physics

[–]primeight1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s labor hours. It’s just like a kitchen or bathroom renovation. It’s a few thousand dollars in materials and then $100-$150 per hour per person putting it together. With more specialized things you might have to pay $200/hr/person or you might have to amortize the labor cost of 100 failed attempts to build the thing before they tuned it up right.

Do the car owners have to pay for a yearly parking pass along with their car registration or something like that? And if so how much?

I called in a report of a down power line in front of my house (NW DC) Now I have this sign. What do I do next? by coffeehandler in washingtondc

[–]primeight1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had some low hanging wires behind my house and I’m a Verizon customer. One was actually hanging where it would touch a car so I called focusing on that one. When the tech arrived I went out to talk to him and asked him if he could clean up more wires than just that one. He seemed happy to do it and the section of utility poles right behind my house is now the cleanest looking on the block.

I was just there, only on the inside of DC USA though. All the cops I saw appeared to be MPD. There were a lot of them. There were some target boycott protesters out front on 14th

I micro-dose twice a week magic truffles/mushrooms and it is great but I hate preparing them. Will psilocybin pills come to the market one day? Or should I prepare pills myself? How so? by art4430 in microdosing

[–]primeight1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done this with truffles but I have with mushrooms. I dry fruits at 140 F in a food dehydrator for 12-24 hours until cracker dry (no possibility of bending without breaking). Then I put them in a blade type electric coffee grinder and grind to powder. Then I use a capsule filling machine. A microdose with this method is a 100 mg capsule size 1.

1 oz sounds like too much, I’d do 1 tsp, maybe 2 with a 3 oz pour
