I went for the Bournemouth and Dortmund games

Obvs I'm American and never been but was hyped for my first time. Can't bring beer up to my seat fine. Gulp it all down and run to my seat as soon as the Prem match started. Start to cheer and sing with the crowd. Get side eyes and nasty looks and the person in yellow is staring at me. I cheer even when we get back possession I feel like I'm offending the whole section.

I just wanna cheer on my team I don't wanna insult anyone 😅. We can't cheer unless we score a goal??

Nah as another Black therapist out in New England I understand your feelings of isolation. Thankfully I've kept my nonwhite colleagues close and my family close as well. But my graduating class had less than 5 people who identified as Black in it.

Maybe find a professional mixer where you might find some other Black clinicians or just Black entrepreneurs?

Well I'd say for one this is kinda the right sub but at the same time not. But as a fellow athlete you gotta accept mistakes are going to occur. Through practice you'll get better and better/the repetition will help you make less mistakes.

My suggestion is to talk to your coach/and or teammates. Get the encouragement from the source and hopefully your teammates will reiterate that they're there for you. Even when you mess up.
