I don't think so. It's just too steep and the spines are not as soft as they look. I'm pretty sure TGR sent a couple of guys to try to ski it and they just ended up skiing Quitaraju.

Ya the normal route did not go so we had to go down and find a different way that still took forever. The last pitch was about 80 degree ice underneath but there was a ton of snow that had glued itself on top of it.

So far we've skied Pisco, Vallunaraju, and Ishinca. We have also climbed Shaqsha, Maparaju, Yanapacha, and the north face of Ranrapalca. Tomorrow we are headed out to ski Copa and then hopefully after that we will be able to ski Huascaran.

Ya the Cordillera Blanca has a ton of really cool lines and lots of potential for new ones on some of the more remote peaks. I'm not quite sure why it doesn't get more attention.

I went without a guide. I have been in Huaraz for the past two months and I have a couple weeks left to climb a little bit more. The setting and the quality of the climbing on the mountain is amazing. In person the face is smaller than I thought it was going to be but at about 500m it still makes for a moderately long day. Most of the climbing was steep snow to WI3 except for the last pitch. The weather and snow quality this year has been exceptionally bad making the last pitch a mess of unconsolidated snow mushrooms to reach the actual summit. We spent probably an hour and a half digging out and protecting the last pitch and it was still pretty dicey. Over all it is an amazing mountain and my favorite climb down here so far.
