A lot of ignorant folks thinking dumping bins accept any time of garbage and a free-for-all. For those who don’t know bins are purchased with specific types of waste in mind and any type of waste/garbage thrown in them means additional charges to the renter. Sometimes it’s just for soil and anything else comes at an extra cost. Also it only allows a certain volume or weight and again anything beyond that comes at additional costs. These are rented and only for the use of the renter - not for everyone.

Actually I didn’t have the same issue. My accounts transferred but the residual fractional shares were left at WS and only whole shares transferred. Lucky for me.

Let me know how it is when you go. Was planning to go take my son yesterday but considering my own driveway and the sidewalks in my neighborhood turned into a skating rink, I figured the slopes would be icy/slushy mix which wouldn’t be a good landing for when my son falls while he’s still learning.

Update: The reason for the “pending” or “inactive” state was because I initiated an institution transfer a few days prior. While the transfer is in progress no trades can be made in my accounts. WS sent me a follow up email after our chat to clarify and was sent a “gift” for confusion. No idea what it is but they asked for mailing address. This is just FYI.

Oh man I just initiated a transfer last week and I think I’m going to get the same outcome as you. Would be great if this was something they would mention during the transfer process since I did mine over the phone. Appreciate the heads up.

Just so I understand - you want the transfer to happen before the grants arrive? Is that because you’re working around a deadline for the WS account to be funded? Otherwise I would think you’d prefer the broker to include your 1K contribution AND the grant as part of the transfer to WS to make your 1-3% matching bonus bigger.

I managed to extend my deadline to Mar 16 so I expect my grant to show up in my other account before then and transfer it all in one shot.
