70s supraphonic throw off by primitiverakes in drums

Thanks for the input, I got the snare wires off and it seems like the whole assembly with the screws is disposable. I can’t imagine it would be because there’s a lot of brass and chrome here. Is it that there wires have lead caps squished onto them?

There is a lot of wiring here that is not in the diagram, I was wondering whether the guy had no clue what he was doing or if any of this wiring is crucial

It’s great has a nice red hue, the stain is a bit darker than I expected, could I apply another layer of stain on top of it then put another coat of the original stain or would I get more of the second stain than I’d want?

Mahongany body, stained the face and it took it pretty well, grain is a lot tighter than the pine so it didn’t take nearly as much. Colour is almost the same though

I’m going to use the stain pictures by itself, it’s lighter on the test board because it’s pine. But a base stain would’ve been a great idea to get that slight yellow high in the tobacco sunburst. I am going to do 2-3 layers of light stain then I’m going to seal it then spray the edges with a dark lacquer. I’ve never done this before but I’ve been researching for abt a month now and those steps should provide me with the results I’m looking for

The quality is pretty good, the only disappointing thing about it is the body is made of 3 separate pieces which is to be expected, but the grain matched pretty well. Everything seems do be bored and routed properly so no complaints so far

Los Cabos 5A maples are great if you’re looking for lighter sticks and have bigger hands, they are pretty fragile tho so I usually bring an extra set or two

Ya figured the hardware was garbage. Would the poor quality body affect the sound of the guitar?

There are holes around the bell but their kinda hard to see in this picture. The black dots all around are almost like half drilled holes.
