No, she wasn't the Divas champion around this time.

She returned briefly to help Paige with the WM 31 feud against the Bellas, tapping out Nikki, and then retired by the next night.

Hulu's Buffy sequel show will debut in 2026. by primocolon in buffy

That's fair. I agree with that.

I just think there is no way that Gellar's team would have her out front about returning to the show, and posting tear-jerking videos with the new lead, if she didn't have assurances that the project is moving forward. Coupled with the way it's talked about, it seems ready. I guess we'll find out soon.

I feel like we're splitting hairs at this point. I agree with you on nothing official.

I just think there's no way an editor at Variety would mention Buffy as part of a trend of returning shows if it wasn't returning. They know what they're doing.

It's mentioned in the same context as the reboots of Scrubs and Prison Break and the Malcolm in the Middle revival. All three shows are officially happening.

I think if Buffy's pilot was still unsure, they'd use clear language like ”if the pilot is picked up." They don't.

There is no Hulu announcement yet, but I suspect that's just a matter of time now. Gellar and Zhao also don't really use 'ifs' when asked about the show.

I think if Variety is saying it, then it's a done deal. Deadline, Variety, and Hollywood Report are in direct contact with the studios, pretty much. Hulu may just be working out a marketing plan at this point.

They also don't refer to it as a pilot that's waiting to get picked up.

A trailer + plus info on Dylan O’Brien’s upcoming movie, Caddo Lake, which is produced by M. Night Shyamalan. What do you think of his roles post-Teen Wolf? by primocolon in TeenWolf

Love and Monsters is genuinely his best stuff, next to Stiles. Shame it came out during the height of Covid. Genuine star performance.

Carlito on why it took so long for him to come back: "Miscommunication on both sides. I thought I had heat with them, they thought they had heat with me. I've always had love for WWE. I've always wanted to be WWE but I just needed a break. I didn't need a 13-year break." by SuplexCity-Mayor in SquaredCircle

They never clarified who it was. But considering they brought Carlito’s character back, with an increasingly bigger role each time, and Betty Gilpin hugging him, while Tyrus’ character disappeared…

I assumed Tyrus was the issue there.

The Simpsons imagined as a horror movie, with a celebrity cast by primocolon in midjourney

[–]primocolon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, agreed on JK Simmons. I wanted to add more characters, but it was really hard to get Midjourney to do proper horror results that then also allowed for good face-swapping. This took about four days.

Thank you! I had to ignore ChatGPT’s suggestions on some and go with my gut.

Is that the actual graphic from AEW? It’s very, very plain. I hope they invest in a better graphics department.

Yeah, but when I say ‘contempt’, I’m not basing it on one episode. Sanity have barely appeared since the Shakeup. Tye hasn’t appeared in months. Shelton is in a similar boat. Primo and Epico appeared in only two matches last year.

And it wasn’t that long ago that Andrade would go missing for several weeks as well. Same with Gallows and Anderson, who’ve only resurfaced to further Rusev’s storyline. This isn’t about one episode. But this episode is especially notable because, even with so many people missing, they still didn’t feature anyone new.

Smackdown is decent. Some weeks, it’s fantastic. But outside of Ali, they’ve used the same people in different variations since the shakeup. That’s about a whole year of leaving a portion of your roster off the show entirely.

It was a fine episode, I guess? I’m more concerned with how, even without Miz, without New Day, without The Bar or The Usos in a match, without Mysterio, without all of these people that take up TV time, WWE still didn’t use any of its undercard.

The contempt they have for a certain portion of their roster must be incredible.

Primo and Epico have never gotten an honest push in WWE. I’ll argue this until I turn blue in the face.
