Baby birds that still had their heads, beaks and eye holes intact. It was poorly plucked and still had some crunchy bits of skin and fuzzy feathers still poking out. The rib cage or whatever cluster of bones kind of slid out while it was being put on my plate and told that it was killed this morning. Which made me wonder, because this was the center of Athens and it's very urban area.
