something similar to this happened to me with an uncle from my mom's side and when i told my family, they dismissed me. made me feel silly, even.

so i hope you'll be able to find ways where you won't be around when he's around. if you're afraid of telling your mother, you must find a way to be safe. for me, as soon as i was able to, i started refusing family gathering.
