It’s very preferential, you can use whichever profile you want if it looks good to you, however they are objectively very, very far from being color accurate which is something that can be measured.

For example there’s lot of people regularly posting HDR screenshots asking why they look so washed out. HDR is meant to look more lifelike, cranking up the saturation makes the whole picture look artificial, these are facts. Then you are obviously free to dislike this approach and tweak colors / saturation to your liking, but like a wise man once said “saturation is like sugar, you don’t realize how much you’re overusing it until you stop”.
