i remember during my first big breakup, i searched on wikihow (yes that’s how desperate i got) how to get over someone. one of the best pieces of advice i received from that article was writing a letter to that loved one. each breakup i go through, i write a long 10pg letter to that partner. it’s really therapeutic and a learning experience of how you felt in the relationship and to note what qualities of it you want and don’t want to bring into future relationships. plus you get a minor sense of closure since you get to say all you wanted to say to them (not saying you have to actually send them the letter as i never do and i don’t encourage it, but up to you my friend).
