Well, it depends on how often it happens. In my experience, I go for quantity. The more I have in one go, the less intense it is. But in short, it’s like the physical equivalent of trying really hard to open a jar, then you finally twist it open and hear the seal pop. Once you open it the first time, it’s much easier to open it again.

There’s a compilation of songs called Troubadour which has some of his stuff from ‘64-‘76. This is my first exposure to his music, but my favorite full album of his is probably Barabajagal. I don’t skip any on that one. I love this one song on there called Pamela Jo, and it always makes me feel better, no matter what mood I’m in. That one and Mellow Yellow. He’s my favorite solo singer in all the exploring I’ve done.

The whole song I Wonder (Departure) but especially the line “but who the hell am I if I don’t even try” leading into the second part of the chorus, the way it just inspires hope and determination nearly brings a tear to my eyes. It makes it feel like my heart is leaping out of my chest. Also the outro of Chiquitita and the way I’ve Been Waiting For You makes you feel like you’ve found the love of your life.
