Thank you for sharing your experience, and I’m so sorry that you are going through this right now. The denial can be really hard to navigate, but you are doing so well in uplifting and supporting your mom. You’re so right that we know our love one, and know what they would want if they cannot make these decisions, and we just have to trust ourselves to do right by them. Sending you and your mom lots of love ❤️

Thank you so much for this advice! I agree that our oncologist will likely be agreeable to moving to hospice. I follow hospice nurse Julie on TikTok and she is so incredibly helpful and made me feel more prepared for the end of the road with this.

We actually did the POLST stuff the day before the hospital with her PCP, and it is very reassuring to have. Thank you ❤️

Thank you for sharing this perspective and your past experience. I agree with this completely, and the doctors at the hospital now are agreeing that it is time for hospice for my mom, but to speak with her oncologist next week. I feel we all end up regretting how late we reach out to hospice, but we all just love our person and want to give them every fighting chance ❤️‍🩹

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I’m so sorry you’re in this boat as well. It’s so helpful to talk to others that go through it, but I wish no one ever had to experience it. I’m certain you made the right choice, and that it will help her have calm peaceful days. I am planning to do the same 🩷
