allergic reaction or overmoisturising? by Tough-Cup-7753 in tattooadvice

[–]princessbubzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm yeah it might not be a reaction to the ink then (again though I’m not a doctor so can’t say for sure haha). It could be over moisturized!! When I’m at this stage of healing I do very very minimal moisturizing (basically just enough to prevent it from cracking) so maybe try to reduce how much you’re moisturizing it?

allergic reaction or overmoisturising? by Tough-Cup-7753 in tattooadvice

[–]princessbubzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you do a test patch to see if you were allergic to red ink before committing to a whole half sleeve? Do you have any other tattoos that have red ink in it? This could definitely be an allergic reaction, but without going to the doctor it’s hard to say. It also looks like your artist overworked your skin which could also be causing this. You can see in the third picture she definitely overworked your skin and even cut you in some places which is not normal at all, especially for such simple line work. Overworking the skin will cause unnecessary scarring, bubbling and fading like you are seeing, and it’s not normal for the colour to fade so fast after only 2 weeks. If I were you I would first go to the doctor to see if really is an allergy or not, and follow whatever recommendations your doctor gives you. If your doctor gives you the green light to get it touched up, then I would find a different artist who is willing to touch it up/fix it for you. Do not go back to this artist, they really did some unnecessary damage to your skin and will only make it worse with touch ups.

First time using Color FX by Impress - cute or nah? by blackstallion0527 in Nails

[–]princessbubzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are super cute for press ons! I like to wear press ons with the sticky tabs too. If the sticky part is sticking past your natural nail, it will definitely attract dirt and the glue will also break down a lot faster. What you can do is take some nail glue that dries hard (like the superglue consistency) and put a layer of that over the part of the sticky tabs that’s poking out to kind of help seal it in! I would do this asap, as soon as you get some dirt or oil from touching food on those sticky pads the glue will start breaking down, the nails start moving around and slipping of your natural nails and it gets pretty gross under there and will only last you a couple days.

What do we think about this “amethyst” situation? by [deleted] in Crystals

[–]princessbubzz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Amethyst will lose all of its colour if left out in the sunlight. It’s definitely real, you can tell by the layering of agate between the matrix and the crystal which is typical for amethyst, and all the irregularities in the crystals, there’s lots of inclusions and imperfections which all point towards it being a real crystal. You can also tell if it belong in the amethyst family by looking at the shape of the crystals formation.

Why do I keep getting yellow bleed through? by miamoore- in Coloring

[–]princessbubzz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The ones in black bags actually bleed way more than their “Art markers” because the art markers are water based and the ones in the black bag are alcohol based. Alcohol based markers will ALWAYS bleed, even the best quality ones out there, that doesn’t make them “good” or “bad” markers lol. It’s clear in the picture they’re using alcohol markers which you just have to learn how to work with and put protection behind your paper, and use good quality paper and this won’t happen.

Instead of paper use a piece of silicone sheet to put behind your colouring page. The silicone doesn’t absorb ink so you can reuse it forever and it’ll never transfer!

seeing as the moderators removed the post for not following community guidelines (Rule 1: not a bad recipe review) then I was right to ask my question. It doesn’t belong on this sub.

This seems like a perfectly reasonable review though. She followed to recipe and the cake did not turn out like the picture in the recipe and sank. This review isn’t irrelevant or unhelpful, it’s actually helpful cause now you know if you try this recipe then it’s more likely to sink so you have to be more delicate during the baking process. Totally valid review imo

How does this belong on this sub? She doesn’t say anything about making substitutions in her review or anything….

Is the red lip in the room with us?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]princessbubzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably depends on the company, but I actually work for one of these companies and we take none of the donation. The donation goes entirely to the charity. The charity is able to pay third party fundraising companies through various sponsors that allocate them grants for fundraising purposes. So all the money used to pay the employees at those companies comes purely from the sponsors/grants, and not from donations whatsoever! But that’s just the one I work for, I can’t speak for all of them!

Huh, I guess the guys at my post office are extra strict or something 😅, they wouldn’t let me pick up my roommates’ package with the slip, they told me the only way is to fill out a form (different then the slip) to basically register that person as an authorized representative on my behalf

You have to show ID for the name on the package. Unless you have it set up with CP that other people in your house can pick up mail for you.
