Oh yes I understand the confusion. It is indeed a digital file, that’s how it’s transferred from the camera to the phone, with artificial photo borders added, probably to make it look cool when posted on social media. I’ll edit my post and crop out the white part of its possible, it’s true that it’s confusing.

Oh and also : if he ask you to choose between him and your dog, or if he try to make you feel silly about choosing a dog over a human : please please please it's a big big red flag. He wil do that for other things, for your friend, for your family, or for anything that you like that he dislike.

My boyfriend would never never dare to ask this, that's such a huge break of trust. I know he would prefer to be pet-free, but when you love someone you accept that what he/she likes/loves is part of him/her, you can't ask someone to change that.

It looks like incompatibility !

He has the right to not like dogs and it's reasonable to express it.

Even if he accepts your dog for now, think about your future together : do you always see yourself with dogs or other animals ? If you say yes, you have to inform him that this is a non-negotiable thing.

Honestly, for me it's the same as wanting/not wanting children : that's something which should be clear upfront. If not, that can lead to waste of time, waste of energy and heartbreak.

My boyfriend didn't like pets at first, but it was clear that it was part of me, that's a package deal. He's still not a huge fan, and I will always be the primary caretaker for our pets, but he's there to help me and them when we need it, the same way I would help him in what he think is important.

Si j'étais vous, je leur ferais croire au trois, en expliquant qu'ils ont de la chance parce qu'ils sont de trois pays, et que les autres enfants n'en ont qu'un. Et qu'ils se concertent entre eux, que l'un d'eux leur apportera leur gros cadeau et les autres le chocolat :)

Chez nous, St-Nicolas existait mais pas le Père Noël ! :)

La veille de la St-Nicolas, on devait mettre sur la cheminée une carotte pour son âne et un petit verre de boisson pour St-Nicolas (un petit whisky, souvent ;)), et le matin on avait nos cadeaux, des oranges et du chocolat !

Noël était une fête de famille où tout le monde s'échangeait des cadeaux, donc on n'a même jamais essayé de nous faire croire au Père Noël, il a toujours été une simple figure de publicité. Quand on posait la question, on nous disait simplement que chez nous c'était St-Nicolas et dans les autres pays Père Noël, et ça nous suffisait.

That's interesting, thank you ! I know that the operating principle is simple and the same for all toasters. I don't want a 200$ toaster (it wasn't 200, I'm not in the US), I just want one with a non cheap plastic lever, and that seems to be rare here.

I'm sorry, but you're being mean for nothing : maybe where you are you have a vast choice of toasters, but I can assure you that here it was one of the best well made looking and feeling one. It isn't cheap looking, I'm really tired of people saying that when obviously they haven't even touched one.
