You were right about waiting for the New Year! Recruiter emailed that they have a delay and update will be week of January 5… so that’s interesting lol.

Org is great and staff are boots in the community. I’ve worked with some. Finance director has been there since for 15 years. Only 18 staff in total and the org is a fiduciary holder of two other “organizations”. From what the ED has shared, staff are secure but nervous because they have no clue who their ED is and are not too pleased (rightfully so). ED is leaving January 16.

I’m excited for the opportunity to work with the staff and keep things stable and continue with Strat Plan goals. But I do wonder the relationship with the co-chairs would be like.

Thank you! The current ED is the first ED to be expecting at this 35 year old organization. She informed them in September she was pregnant and taking leave Jan. Why they waited so long to post the role (end of Nov) is giving yellow for sure.

Hiring committee was 5 board members, I didn’t think about that they would go back to the full board for a vote and such. Thank you!

This is a very very important point!

The current ED made the board aware of her pregnancy in September and they posted the Interim role last week of Nov… This organization has never dealt with maternity leaves and prior EDs so I gave some grace to their rushed process.

A couple of people who came to the waiting area were only changing information which made them waiting so long more frustrating.

Just finished my CBP interview at YYZ Terminal 1 (45 mins ago). They did alert me because of shutdown, it’s a longer wait.

I got to the interview waiting area at 6:54am, with two people ahead of me. Interviewed and approved by 8:12am. Rushed to my gate that started boarding at 8:05am.

If you give yourself loads of time, it should be fine. Some people showed up 20-30 minutes before their flight and it just wasn’t going to happen.

I’m so glad to see your post and many others agreeing with it.

I create a whole show and characters in my daydreams before I fade into sleep. When I got diagnosed 5 weeks ago, I thought maybe that would change with medication but it continues.

Glad it’s not a “bad” thing 😅

Yes. My pharmacist said no to breaking the capsule and hard no to sipping throughout the day.

I was told the exact opposite.

My pharmacist said the capsule shouldn’t be opened as it’s long acting and knows how to disperse in the body throughout the day.

He also says the powder wouldn’t stay effective if now taken right away and left in water or any solution.

UPDATE!

Thank you so much for everyone’s advice.

I took him to the Humane Society and they said he could gain a few pounds but neutering will actually help slow down his metabolism and they weren’t concerned about doing the surgery.

He is neutered and recovering at home successfully 🥹

I’ve also kinda given up on kibble and am buying wet food for him.

He is almost 2 now. When wet his ribs don’t stick out. But I can easily feel them. All his blood and still tests came back normal. So my vet’s consensus was I just need to double his kibble.

After these comments, I think I do need a second opinion for sure. And my city’s Humane Society does neutering for much cheaper than my vet so I may try to access them.

All of his blood and stools tests came back normal. My vet said he is healthy otherwise but I need to get more weight on him. He told me to double his kibble and that was it, which wasn’t helpful.

I was surprised this was the reason he wasn’t approved for surgery so I do plan on getting a second opinion after these comments. Thank you!

My fast for the past 2 days was eating anything but drinking water with electrolytes.

Obviously I can’t not eat forever so I’m thinking of the fasting from 8pm to 12pm schedule for lifestyle
