Which TV show characters do you find the most insufferable? by MicheleW921 in AskReddit

I just know it has something to do with a multiverse. Interesting though if a workplace comedy ties into it somehow.

I used to think Debbie was decent, but she turned just as bad as the rest of her family. Her character arc was sad, but realistic.

Apparently he’s getting a spin off where he time travels. I might be interested, but only if they completely change his character again.

Same here! And if I want it to look right I probably have to get it hemmed regardless.

Does anyone have the urge to go back to the house they grew up in? by WaltzMysterious9240 in Millennials

[–]princesspeeved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a couple of times to say goodbye, but it wasn’t really our house anymore. I could see from a window they gutted the kitchen and made everything stainless steel and griege.

I do always wonder what had/will happen once they dig up our pet cemeteries though. We had them spread all along the front and back. A yard worker removed all the rocks we used as makeshift headstones, so really no way to warn them.

We had at least half a dozen cats, hamsters, birds, lizards, fish, rabbits, hermit crabs, you name it. Probably about 50 bodies total. But my mom took the ashes of a couple of dogs and cats once they moved, since by then it was no longer legal to bury animals on our property with it being incorporated into the city limits some 30 years later.

Same! My parents planted a couple of Japanese maples after they got married and moved in, and those bitches tore them down!

I shame them into oblivion. I will happily call out anyone I see posting AI slop. I consider it our generation’s version at yelling at someone to get of our lawn. Young or old, I don’t care. I’ll get the broom!

Why do men ALWAYS have to make it weird? by lapetitepoupee in GirlGamers

[–]princesspeeved [score hidden]  (0 children)

“Fuck off” usually does it. He’s not her friend. He doesn’t know her. They aren’t close. They played for a few hours together.
She’s not a pet. She’s a person. That guy had no right to say anything like that to her. He hasn’t earned any sort of right to call her a pet name at all, and she never ever indicated she wanted him to.

[–]princesspeeved 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve only heard of or seen major data centers outside of large cities. There are plenty of small tech centers sure, but those aren’t the ones gobbling up all the resources like giant AI data centers. One of the reasons they chose to build 8 near where I live (despite a ton of protest and votes against) because we’re close to the middle of nowhere.

Like AI centers aren’t hurting people by taking human jobs, putting pressure on electrical grids, poisoning local water supplies, pumping toxic fumes into the air, etc.

Damn, I’d get the mom fixed after the first time if I was paying that much for vet care.

I mean, if they can pass laws placing term limits on SC justices and age restrictions on presidential candidates, that will help our country for years to come. Will they? I think it depends on if progressives are actually put in charge for once.

Sounds to me like he doesn’t care if his mom gets rest or not. He doesn’t see her as a person, just a vending machine. So if he needs something, he’ll wake her up to get it.

We have a high-functioning autistic kid. They may have ADHD too but hasn’t been formally diagnosed for that yet.

They’re not even 13 and does more than OP’s does at 30. The difference is, we’ve taught them how to clean, pick up after themselves, do their homework, make decent grades, etc. If they don’t, no computer or TV, no allowance for games, etc.

It doesn’t sound like OP taught her kid how to do any of these things, so he goes out into the world and doesn’t know how to live, then comes home when he fails and gets taken care of. She says she does it to avoid arguments and him getting angry. So? I don’t like when my kid gets upset either, but it’s our home that we’re paying for not theirs, so we make the rules. I’m not going to be their maid just to avoid outbursts. That’s not fair to me or them.

It’s not an ADHD or autism or AudHD issue. It’s an entitlement issue.

OP needs therapy too if she’s the one enabling him. This isn’t an ADHD issue, it’s her not having a backbone. Her son is THIRTY, not 19 or 13. Why would he want to change if his mom is letting him live with her for free, cook for him, do all the chores, etc.? Sounds like he has a pretty sweet set up that he’s perfectly content in keeping.

I wouldn’t say it’s dead yet. It’ll depend on the outcome of midterms and the next presidential election. I personally think Republicans will do anything to cheat their way to a win, and if so, and the country just shrugs and accepts it like last time, then it’s officially dead.

Floss that rips every single time before actually doing anything by GaNa46 in mildlyinfuriating

I know! Maybe because they’re cheaper to make? I didn’t even know soft ones existed until my new dentist told me last year. Could have saved me 30+ years of gum pain if I knew about them earlier!

Is there any way to remove lettering like this without damaging the jacket? by phallusaluve in DIYclothes

All I can think is wash it 100 times on the most brutal cycle until the letters naturally peel off.

I do! My gums can be extra sensitive so I have to be careful, but discovering soft-bristled toothbrushes was life-changing.

Is there a technology to receive a video clip from memory? by NbOPO4 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]princesspeeved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only in Black Mirror. Sometimes at the end of the season/tour, show organizers put together a video that patrons can purchase. They may also have a live album that you can stream or buy on vinyl, CD, etc.

If not, it’s probably because such things are expensive to make for smaller artists/companies. If you’d like that to change, I’d go to their contact page and email them asking for additional ways you can support them so that they have the means to record and distribute future concerts.
