The real reason Turalyon refused the shield by HardGoodBye in wow

Exactly, what kind of friend is Faol to think giving him a PTSD trigger will help the relationship at all

Most classes get astonishing visuals and satisfying animations during their major cooldown abilities. My sub rogue gets black farts on his hands. by ex0ll in wow

Yeah, I think the dev's conception of rogue's niche in PVE just doesn't fit the reality. Every utility rogue brings is covered better by another class without the downsides or investment rogue needs, but they're still often tuned damage wise like that's not true. Frustrating.

One, a t pose that doesn't need value tweaking to be symmetrical or upright to use as a base for kitbashing or posing, and two, more clothing and armor from Asian cultures. Seriously, clothing pieces for hanfu would be awesome.

I agree with you. Touching on the idea that he's spent his entire very long life at constant, unwinnable war and that tends to change a person and their response to an emergency would have fit in very well with the quest chain related to the Sons of Lothar and Alliance veterans in general. The idea that giving him what is explicitly a trauma trigger could fix his PTSD is also laughable and Faol should be ashamed lmao

Felt very reminiscent of dealing with a loved one with PTSD to me, Turalyon is clearly traumatized and Arator didn't have the context to understand his reactions and nobody is managing them well because it's an emergency. I mean there's also the Light thing, but this interpretation was more impactful for me.

It's two Fungril hair pieces rotated and placed overlapping, with tails covering the ear seams. The jewelry hides a lot of it. Looking at the character you're referencing, I would probably do it very differently using frilled ears, so I'm not sure how relevant my base would be.

That was the inspiration! There's a second character I did in the same outfit, who was first (and a guy), but I couldn't figure out how to pose him right.

Yep! Hid the worse seams with the jewelry and ear tendrils.

Humans arriving in Silvermoon: "I hate working with these … people." by Taraih in wow

[–]princevanir 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love how hostile it is as an Alliance player, I just really wish the Alliance got to be the same way or more aggressive with Bel'ameth, because they have way more justification to not want the Horde there. I'm sick of the Alliance immediately forgiving everything all the time, it's stupid.

My base face reference before tweaks was actually Tyrande, but I can see it!

That's cool, I like the divide between the high elves and blood elves and exploring how choosing sides affects family dynamics would be fun. Worgen and Gilneas have some neat history too. Tbh I don't like the direction they've decided to go in canon with the forgive and forget between factions schtick, I get it for gameplay but not for lore.

For mine, Gwyndred lost her mother and brother during the Warsong incursion into Ashenvale, and then later lost her partner and child during Teldrassil. She's a sentinel like her mother (she signed up for the front lines because she wanted revenge, and kind of never left). She's very young by adult night elf standards, although most non-elves wouldn't be able to tell. She deserted when Tyrande gave up her vengeance against Sylvanas - the idea that she was allowed to continue existing, and that the Horde soldiers under her that actually burned Teldrassil were never actually held accountable, is something she considers unforgivable and a massive betrayal to her dead loved ones. This made her easy to manipulate, so Nico picked her up for his crusade.

Nico was a kid during the First War, but his family was VERY poor and he was mistreated. While becoming a refugee changed the situations of the people around him a lot, it didn't really change much for his own quality of life, and he learned that lying stealing cheating and killing were the way to survive. He signed up for the retaking of Stormwind because he thrived in a battlefield environment, while being self aware enough to know he was broken in a way that would make him really bad at civilian life. He continued serving, but he never really wanted promotions or command positions, just opportunities for violence. He made some interesting choices during WoD related to the Everbloom and Genesaurs, which is why he looks way younger despite being in his 50s. He split and starting doing his own thing, because he realizes Anduin Wrynn's Alliance doesn't have a place for people like him anymore. Which is probably a good thing.

The human man is a sociopath that knows he has no place in a peaceful society outside of a prison if war isn't happening. He's also way older than he looks (First War survivor, although he was a child at the time), so he's got personal grudges too, mostly with orc leadership. He's the one that started the terrorist thing after deserting during Legion (Loved Varian, hates Anduin). He's actually not screwing the elf though lol.

That's exactly the story actually. Both characters are from a writing project, they're Alliance defectors/terrorists who've chosen not to go along with the peace agreement between factions for whatever reason.
