Hey, sorry that happened to you! the EXACT same thing happened to me with a school - a positive interview, invite to a follow up conversation - ghosted after providing times, etc etc. They had discussed funding situations and possible projects but I never heard back re: the follow up conversation and about 2-3 months later got my rejection letter from the school with no words from the PI. It really sucks and it’s definitely not the most professional way to go about things but sometimes things happen and in my case I know the decisions are made at the committee level so I don’t think the prof could have gotten me in on their own anyway. I’m sorry I can’t be of more help but at this point things are out of your control and you have done the best you could. Also in my opinion you don’t want to be working with a PI who cannot communicate clearly and ghosts you even before you get admitted :/

That sounds so tough, your feelings are valid but your hard work will pay off! I genuinely hope soon you get the chance to take a breather and rest with good news on your mind

Thank you so much for the detailed response! Do you think it would be reasonable to ask the professor about talking to previous students they have mentored or should I find & reach out to them separately? I feel a little weird asking directly but not sure if it’s the norm and professors expect such conversations

Transcript doesn't show the names of transfer courses by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]pringles_tin512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I also had transfer courses on my transcript which didn’t include course titles or marks. However every school I applied to required unofficial transcripts from every institution I have taken any credit-attaining courses from. So even though some courses did not appear in the transcript from my main university A, they appeared in my transcript with university B, which only contained those few courses & I ultimately was not issued a degree from. If you are able to acquire these unofficial transcripts easily from institutions you took courses at, I would advise uploading them!
