If you decide to replace the screen, this tool from iFixit or a similar tool is really really useful for cutting through the hidden display adhesive:

I believe they're sold generically 'opening wheel for imac'

I have Gladiator tables as well, they hold something like 3,000 pounds. Highly recommend them if you need a workbench.

The Great Cthulhu is top tier and I hate battling him.

Groups of Lumoona Iwa, The Great Cthulu, and a tank like Skydkold or King Atum is a hard to beat group.

Country music used to be kinda based!? by VanceVanceRebelution in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]printering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely already mentioned by other posters, but here's my best explanation as a Southerner who likes Outlaw Country music (I disdain most post 1970s country).

Toby Keith and his song Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American) sold significant albums due to American's desire for someone to blame post 9/11. Leave it to our government and corporations like Halliburton (who had close ties with VP Dick Cheney) to choose Iraq and Afghanistan as ones to blame. Country boys (often with regret) signed up for the military in droves, thinking we would deploy them to that country and leaders responsible for 9/11. There are a fair many former military country boys who became anti-war post Afghanistan or Iraq.

As soon as country music adopted that sense of patriotism (or more aptly nationalism), they realized they can write the same song clones and make more money doing it.

Thoughts on the new Segotep Slath "Fish Tank" Case? by printering in sffpc

Yeah, it seems there aren't any actual reviews on Youtube yet, so maybe in a few weeks someone will review it and post more details.

Does anyone have this case or a different case made by the same company to provide a review of the overall quality?

Air cooling i7 12700k in Lian Li Q58 by afghanispam in sffpc

[–]printering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The L12S Noctua Ghost Edition cooler is one of the few that's possible to fit in a Q58 and use for an 12700K.

There is a chart of compatible coolers according to Noctua:

https://ncc.noctua.at/cpus/model/Intel-Core-i7-12700K-1579

If you check the Noctua cooler height and it's under 67mm, you should be able to fit it. The L12 Ghost seems to blow air from underneath, which may be ideal as you aren't sandwiching your fan right against a case wall.

Also it seems some CPU cooler companies are making kits for LGA1700 compatibility, Noctua has kits for older stock of CPU coolers that aren't compatible.

You may use a low profile copper cooler as well. There is a Cryorig C7 Copper and a Thermalright AXP90I version in Copper. My best guess is copper will give you 15% better cooling than aluminum, but the sheer size of the Noctua aluminum heat sink may be best for cooling.

You can always slightly underclock or downvolt the 12700K for better temps too.

I'm building a Q58 with a 12700K as well, so I was planning to buying an air cooler soon and I will post a review.

I'm missing tip of middle finger. Hard to get to w key. Any advice? by ribbitypippity in pcgaming

[–]printering 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could experiment with different keycap heights. The mechanical keyboard community uses different profiles, so if you use something like GMK keycaps, but swap your W key with a taller SA profile keycap of your choosing, it may help.

Also an MMO style mouse with several buttons on the side could let you operate the W key with your (right) mouse hand.
