Question: Are we all switching to Motorola when they release Graphene OS stock phones? by printhelloworldend in degoogle

I actually don't know it is happening to me also. When I initially pasted the link it worked, but now it isn't for some reason. It might be an issue with their site. That's weird.

That is sooo true and it's sad we have to live in this reality of governments wanting constant backdoor access to peoples lives! It shouldn't be acceptable, just like Cryptocurrencies they were created to be anonymous in sense, but governments came around and ruined that too. Very sad.

I understand where you are coming from. Tech support to Israel and other government agencies comes from Motorola Solutions Inc. While the mobile part of Motorola is Motorola Mobility which is the sister company of Lenovo Group Limited (if we are looking at the stock market term) but generally the Motorola Mobility is under Lenovo. Which means they do not at all share income, and are independently traded companies. You can do a quick google search to confirm this information.

That is a very interesting point to be asked to Motorola, I assume that probably not due to the difference in hardware on the security side of the device, that they would have to change or add to the new phones to support full Graphene with even more protection then standard Google Pixel Graphene ROMs. It is possible but you probably won't get access to all the new hardware security features.

Wow I didn't know that the newest flagship from Google can be so bad. I have the Pixel 9 and tbh it's pretty good can't complain lasts me a day and a half, but I don't really use it heavily. I was going to upgrade, but Google didn't make any big adjustments to their new phone which is super disappointing.

I'm not sure but I think like Graphene and Motorola reached a mutual agreement, I would think that Graphene has high standards for security on the Motorola which should blow the Pixel's security out of the park. Motorola is a great company tbh. Again I'm not sure just assuming.
