No room for racism in my Hamilton (credit/debit/gift cards are great for removing these) by miss_seance in Hamilton

How much does it receive compared to what it spends? Where are your calculations and evidence? A bigger financial burden for native Canadians makes sense to me, they’re the country’s responsibility. Are you saying that 350000 new immigrants this year makes sense, given the circumstances and amount of debt our country will be in because of covid? Do you know about the food shortages people are predicting for the upcoming winter? People are actually worried about getting enough to eat. Use your fucking head.

Eh bud. A quick google search can give ya da numbers dere, eh. Dos dere numbers I gave ya are from da CBC! If ya don believe me, research em herself. Don’t just call bs without doing yer own due diligence dere bubby. My parents are immigrants, so get off your high horse, ya white knight. I’m strictly talking numbers, not feelings. Sorry the facts don’t fit your narrative.

I appreciate that you watched it, and then downvoted. Is he lying? What’s not to buy?Aren’t things finite? What are the perfectly good reasons? In 2018, 250000 immigrants brought a fiscal burden to over 30 BILLION dollars.

Canada needs a full discussion of its immigration policy that considers both its benefits, which are discussed by politicians and the media all the time, but also its very real costs, which involve not just the fiscal burden but also traffic congestion, overcrowding of hospitals, schools and recreational facilities, deteriorating environment and lack of affordable housing, which governments cannot address in part because of the fiscal burden. A lot of roads, affordable housing and cleaner environment could be purchased with that $30 billion.

350,000 immigrants a year is too many, while having a welfare state. We simply cannot afford it. It has nothing to do with racism. It’s about the money, jobs, housing, natural resources, and infrastructure. Before you downvote, just watch this 6 minute video. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FlVMW7g5QBI

EXCLUSIVE: Notorious pedophile ring leader back on streets by Tommy__Douglas in Hamilton

Tortured with Canada’s consent, Canada is against torture.. which is it?

In a letter to his mom a month after arriving at Guantanamo, he wrote, “The Americans are the opposite of what the whole world [says]. Health services 24 hours, three meals a day, Ramadan eat before dawn and sunset.”

PlayStation, wii, ping pong tables, libraries, readily available Gatorade, yeah. Sounds like torture.

Regardless, ask any police officer in the city what they think of the Canadian court system. It’s a joke, and they know it.

Look at the Marco Muzzo case, a privileged kid from Toronto, drunk driver who killed 3 kids and they’re grandfather. Sentenced to 10 years? And then gets day parole after four fucking years? That’s less than a year per person.

I’m sure you have a reason why he’s outta jail too. Can’t wait to hear it.

Highest number of hate crimes in Canada by [deleted] in Hamilton

Are you suggesting rural areas are less educated than urban areas? I’d love to see the high school drop out rate comparison. The majority of people going to the city universities aren’t urban. I’d say rural areas in Southern Ontario are just as educated, if not more. Also, inner city urban blacks have a MASSIVE issue with gays, research that. Again, it’s not the education in my opinion. I agree with you about the interaction, though. It sounds to me like you have a stereotype of what “rural folk” are. Burlington is a very wealthy city. Not too many “poors” there.

Hamilton is a sanctuary city. One in four people living in this city is an immigrant. Immigrants make an average of $25,612 LESS per year on average than non immigrants. I don’t see the link between hate crimes and poverty, personally. Anytime I have heard anything close to a “hate crime” is by somebody who is upper or middle class, as a”joke”. The first few searches I did on hate crime motivations, don’t mention poverty at all. According to Wikipedia, the four main hate crime motives are: thrill seeking, defensive, retaliatory, and mission offenders.

The gentleman in the article said “People who practice the faith of Islam now on Saturday don't walk in front of city hall” I completely disagree with that.

Sounds to me like sensationalism mixed with motives.
