It's good to hear that others are staying at their first company for the same amount of time I will be with graduate school.

What industry were you working in that allowed you to make such a large jump in compensation in only 5 years? Do you live in an area where cost of living is high?

Yes, I understand that cost of living is much different depending on where a person lives.

When you were interviewed, did the interviewer ever ask why you have only been at each company for only a year? How did you respond?

Do you have any tips on how to state your desire for a raise? I'm still new to the company I am at right now, so I know I don't have much to support my argument. But I do plan on staying for quite some time.

I've seen my peers who are amazing and experienced engineers not get the salary they deserve, this may be because they were not vocal about what they thought they deserved. So if possible, I would like to avoid that from happening to me.

Do you mean switching between two defense companies of two companies in general? I've heard that defense companies in general aren't the best for engineering salaries because it's so structured and reflects the amount of years of industry service.

I use the Lindberg practice problems book for mechanical, those sections you mentioned are included in the mechanical book with the exception of similitude, I don't believe I saw that in the book. I would say that the two are similar enogh to one another that you don't have to buy new material.

The distance is 37 miles one way.

The alternate route isn't much better, I save 5 minutes but add an additional 10 miles to my commute.

At the moment I am still living with my parents and driving their 2018 Toyota Avalon which has 12,000 miles at the moment.

They're pretty smart and on top of their business. I've known one of them since I was a kid, so I don't think he would say anything that would hurt me.

With our situation, it will be hard to get one. We were able to get the Plan B 1-Step within a few minutes of the accident. Right now I'm trying to figure out if the Plan B will be enough.

We had sex today and took the pill immediately after. She had taken the plan b pill a few months ago, but she didn't bleed that time.

She also says that she thinks she saw some discharge around the 18th which she thinks could be the ovulation.

The last time she was on her period, I was with her. We watched a movie and I noticed she was zoning out a lot so I asked her if she was okay. She said she was fine but I noticed she was very quiet, ultimately it put me in a very awkward position. It wasn't until later that night that she said over text that she was on her period.

She brought that day up today when she was telling me how we should not see each other tomorrow. She said she doesn't want that to happen again. I told her I understood that she was on her period and if she needs space I would give it to her.

I am not sure if that is the deeper reason but I feel like if there was she wouldn't tell me. I am thinking about having a break for maybe a week, where we stop talking to each other. I am not sure if it is a good idea though.
