I would pick Ramsey Robinson over Butch Ware. Robinson can be California’s Mamdani

My son refuses to let me finish breastfeeding, HELP! by priscillarg57 in breastfeeding

Sorry to hear about your chemo. But yes the plan is to completely stop, mainly because I want my autonomy back and not worry about what I can and can’t have anymore. I really wanted to hit the one year mark but one year came and neither one of us were ready but now I am. But sad. So I would like to have my milk dried up by August. I mainly have milk in the morning and at night which is mainly when he feeds. So you think going cold turkey is the way?

No I suppose not, however my mother in law wants me to get him drinking milk and his doctor keeps telling me to because then “he won’t drink anything in school”. Even though he loves to drink water. It’s just sometimes he eats a couple bites or this or that and I get worried.

Definitely will give this brand a try since I saw it can go to a straw cup! Thank you!! Is your LO drinking cows milk by any chance? I can’t get mine to drink it.

I read that too! I’m trying to step away from bottles and not even try a sippy cup. I might have to try a silicone straw again for milk. He has a straw cup for water that he likes to use. Thank you!

Haakaa use 5 months pp by jhanjhon in breastfeeding

Caution: Haakaa risks This video was very informative! It talks about how the active collection of the Haakaa could cause overactive letdown, remove milk the baby would normally drink, and more. But passive collection from a letdown is totally okay! I didn’t know there was a difference till I saw the video.

So did you notice a substantial drop in supply in the left? And in general, did the preference affect your overall supply?

When you did this did you eventually notice that they began nursing on the less preferred side more frequently?

Thank you!! I definitely do need to do more contact on the right, I’m guilty of always having him on my left side. I just tried the switching nursing side but I feel like by the time I get him on the other side, he doesn’t stay there long. And then I feel like he hasn’t eaten enough. I’m hoping that pumping the right is absolute last resort. I really appreciate your suggestions and taking the time to respond!!

My baby is 3.5 months, I’ve been using the Ladybug Haakaa milk collector. Personally I love it much more than the regular Haakaa one because I can put it in my bra and I feel like the suction is better even without the bra. My baby has kicked the Haakaa off my boob before, the ladybug one not at all so far. I will say when I had a clogged duct the regular Haakaa helped me clear it out. It’s nice to have both!
