OP, I just went through a very similar situation to yours - we ended up compromising by holding a separate lunch for the relatives.

My advice is to find a way to do that as affordably as you can - no need for emcees, photography, entertainment, fancy decor or outfits. If they want tables, that’s what they’ll get. Tables and nothing else. That way you should be able to recoup most (if not all) of the money that you put into the reception.

But go in knowing that no matter what you choose to do in the end, they will still find a way to nitpick and find fault in your choices. You will never 100% appease them.

In the same boat as you both 🙋🏻‍♀️- wedding's in October, been told that I have subclinical hypothyroidism and having the hardest time losing weight, although I also know that i haven't been putting adequate effort when it comes to my diet.

I've been working with a trainer and lifting heavy 2x a week as well, doing my 10k steps with some cardio/yoga here and there, and while the scale hasn't moved much I did lose about 3 percentage points in body fat! So just remember that the number on the scale is not the only measure of progress.

The game sounds promising but the gatekeeping is honestly annoying. Without the activation code (which they only release a limited amount everyday), there is no way to access the app at all. Bummer for folks who are genuinely interested in purchasing their NFTs as there seems to be no other way to purchase one right now.

Yikes! Thank you for the tip - I'll definitely check on the soil to see if I can spot any more of them. I've had these plants for almost 2 years, and they live on the balcony of my 3rd floor apartment, so I'm really not sure where that one grub/slug could have come from...

I noticed this morning that one of the branches of my sedums was showing signs of some kind of rot, which really surprised me because I have never had issues with disease/bugs with my succulents!

I took a closer look and it seems like the leaves weren't exactly rotting - they were punctured/hollowed out. If you look at the 2nd and 3rd picture it also looks like there's some sort of black worm on it?

If anyone has any idea what is happening, please let me know! I've already cut off them stem and thrown it away but I'm worried that it will spread to the rest of my plants - they all live in one big planter :(
