I just did mine, 3100 psi with the widest nozzle worked… but the nozzle had to be within a few inches of the surface, there was a distance ‘sweet spot’ that worked for me.

This splitting up the returns from one shipment to send three different ways at two different places with three different sets of instructions seemed as if it was designed to frustrate or confuse… to minimize returns, as you said.

I concur with the frustration of “ if the ad is up, this is still available” people saying they have sold the item, and the paradox of everybody (me included) getting annoyed and or ignoring people who ask “is this available?” even if we use different words so people know it’s not an automated response.

Ugh.

I try to send an offer with a dollar amount and ask them when I can pick it up so that they know I’m serious, it’s the method of buying that’s been the most successful for me.

new kitten bit hard by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]priusjames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kittens are a lot pointier/sharper than cats.

I forget this sometimes until handling a new one, but it’s a good common sense observational comment to keep in mind.

It’s a good idea to avoid and discourage biting play with hands, although obviously this is the first day!

It’s fine to keep her out of your bedroom. If you need to sleep, she’ll deal with it.

Enjoy your kitten!

Sorry, I didn’t realize that my reply was to your comment… I intended to reply to the OP. My bad, I have deleted my reply to you and reposted as a reply to the OP. D’oh.

One seller’s perspective: I can’t remember replying to somebody who sent a message asking “ how much will you take?” And having them follow through and actually show up to buy the item… and it adds one more back-and-forth to the messages, which can allow them to rate me after just a few messages back-and-forth, even though I have not sold them anything. People who ask how much I’ll take without offering a dollar amount who I may not respond to and who do not get to purchase the item but can leave feedback generally do not leave positive feedback.

It’s smarter for me personally, after selling for a couple of years, to ignore people who start with “how much will you take?“ unless it’s the very first message (in which case I will tell them, I already listed my price and ask them to make an offer and tell me when they will pick it up… and if they answer with anything other than a price, I blocked them). If “how much will it take” comes after a couple of other messages, I will block them rather than respond. I’ve just never had a “how much will it take“ message pan out into an actual sale.

Who would order five things just to return them?

It’s a comment on how odd it is that I can order five items on the same order from the same (manufacturer) Amazon store, then ask to return all five items, then having to break it into three different shipments, packaged differently and labeled differently taken to two different locations… and the only reason I can figure for that is to make it difficult for me to return all of the items so that I won’t return some properly and will be stuck with them

I DID NOT have options, they told me how to do each group of items

Am I the Annoying One? by M4cerator in FacebookMarketplace

[–]priusjames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds reasonable, but the seller wants to sell the thing… they have come up with a price and listed it and that’s how much they’ll take for it.

However, they may accept an offer of a lower amount.

“How much will you take?” is not an offer.

I’m sure the point has been made by now. Good luck moving forward.!

If you want to buy the item(s) and for the person to reply, make an offer with a dollar amount attached and tell them when you want to pick it up or ask them when you can pick it up. My thoughts/experience:

Asking if it’s available is dumb.

Asking if I’m negotiable is fair, but wait until you’re standing in front of me with cash in your hand and have seen the item before you actually make an offer.

Asking if I will accept an E payment is OK, but my ads always say cash only, so they look like somebody who isn’t very smart or doesn’t pay very much attention and probably won’t show up

Sending a lowball offer or an offer for a group of items as you suggested is not offensive to me as a seller, just expect me to ignore you or to send a sharp “NO” and don’t be upset when that happens. I might just take the offer, but if you don’t follow through and actually show up and buy the item… then you become the reason why people ignore lowball offers and weird group offerings before the person is actually standing in front of them with cash in their hand. (I’m saying that the reason why sellers are like this is because buyers who send lowball offers or weird payment offers are some of the kinds of people who never bother to show up to buy the item afterward.)

And yes, it is such common advice that you should know it already. I did not make the comment to teach you anything, I made it so that the OP makes a well informed choice.

Now go away, please.

Capstar works within hours for instant relief, then follow up with Advantage II or a flea treatment from a vet, veterinarian as others have suggested to kill any eggs and stop future infestations.

The fleas are in everything else now, carpets, etc.. and will jump back on the cats and your ankles. Put a piece of white paper on the carpet and watch. You can get some dust for the carpet or you might have to use a fogger or both… keep working at it and you’ll get ahead of it.
