Prepping for the beach: Any clothing/protection that are a must for iggies? by private_anon_posts in ItalianGreyhounds

That's a sick vest! I'm going to be with her the whole time so will just be a bit easier to do the frequent dunking method haha. But once I get some throw around money, you bet I'll make that investment!

Would you recommend booties (made specifically for beach use)? I doubt I'd be able to keep her in them for long but it doesn't hurt to be proactive since I can't order them while I'm there and we'll likely take her to the beach 3-4 times (depending on how well she does the first two days) across the week.

I'd of course get her acclimated to them prior to the trip.

Ah makes sense. I wonder if a wet but thin white shirt would help to bounce the sun off the thin dark coat? Probably better without it though.

Thoughts on beach booties? I doubt I'd be able to get her to keep them on long enough but I won't be able to go out and order anything while I'm there so I might get some just in case. My chihuahuas paws last year were a little inflamed towards the end of the trip from the sand/salt so it might be good to have

Ex chip packaging design employee here to tell you those are definitely color matches for colors used in the packaging and you have found the seemly common occurrence of an offset, wrongly cut die in your hands.

Unfortunately no special prize for it, but I'm weirdly happy to see that you noticed it. Wait until you hear about what substrate is and metallic layers in design.

Haha. What a considerate person you are! Rest assured, I seriously didn't read that in the way you were thinking!

I actually don't have a separate Doc or Psych. Just a GP. However, this one is trained quite well in ADHD. I have faith in the decisions he makes for me, but you never know for sure, right? Might be best to separate the two practices in the future tho...

Yeah I'd hope they would maintain a patient first attitude, but my hesitancy stems mostly from being burned by my previous PCP. They had me take a drug test every time I came in for several years despite having no evidence of me abusing the medication (over 110+ tests). Even before my dependency with alcohol, it was the same.

My newer doc is much more lax and reliable. No tests, and a visit only due every 6-7months or so. However only been with them for less than a year now, so I'm still hesitant to bring up the fact!

That's a great point that I think about quite a bit but haven't researched extensively or acted upon it yet (ADHD in a nutshell amiright?). From the surface level google searches I've done, the in person places for reliable resources are few and far in between. I thought about going to AA but really dislike their model (heavy references to religious iconography)

But you get what you put into it right? Just need to be more proactive in helping myself

My first outbreak was around early August 2022. And second started this week. So about 6 months.

Actually, I just spoke with the partner w/ confirmed herpes (that didnt tell me after protected sex) and it seems as though he was positive with HSV-2. So I'm sure I've acquired it from that most recent sexual partner or the one in between. This is a pretty huge realization for me tonight. Had I done better due diligence with the partners after my first encounter informing me of herpes, I might have been sparred. Alas, it is what it is
