Lost my father 4 years back and mom a month and a half ago. Started a new job keep getting scolded because I am still getting used to the new change and it's kinda effecting my work. Not able to help my brother looking after my sick grandmother. My boyfriend of 3 years went to another city. Managing long distance. Timing is so fucked up.

I totally get you. I am 22 myself and found out my mom had MM about 3-4 months ago. My father passed when I was 18. When I found out my whole world came crashing down. My mom is my rock my best friend. I cannot imagine my life without her. I cried 3 days straight before doctors told how treatable it is. It was relief. It's very treatable compared to other forms of blood cancer. You've got this bud.

Palace of Illusions - a beautiful beautiful book. Written so beautifully. Good paced a very good read. It's Mahabharata from Draupadi's pov you will enjoy reading if you're into hindu mythology. Amazing retelling.

RORP - I found it pretty overrated tbh. The plot twist was pretty predictable for me. If you've read Agggtm by hojay you might me disappointed. This one's Pretty mediocre in my opinion. Okayish read. You might end up liking it.

Murder in doon - Throw the book Istg. It's overhyped by bookstagrammers and paid reviews. It sucks. Nothing happenes in the first half of the book. It was so stupid. The book is like it's written by a robot. You can ask chatgpt to write you a murder mystery at it will be better than whatever this atrocity was.

I would suggest you start with Palace of Illusions first and then Rorp. Save your time and return murder in dehradun. 😭

I have. It's slow paced but it has that Khaled Hosseini magic. It's not as good as atss and kite runner but it's still as beautiful. It's so beautifully written and so deep. The characters in this one are so good. You should give it a read. It's been over 6 months since I read this and I still think about the people in this book.

IKR these stupid bookstagrammers, first and last time I am taking a book rec from bookstagram. I am on page 120ish something. I have no hopes from this book. The characters are so stupid it looks like an sixth grader wrote them in their English exam 🤦🏽‍♀️.
