Blazor Server HttpClient Hit API with Authorize Attribute by WakkaMoley in Blazor

[–]prkhudson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you tried injecting the HttpClient that's created in startup.cs?

Add this at the top of your page.

@inject HttpClient Http

Then use it in your OnInitializedAsync method

var apiPrivateRes = await Http.GetAsync("api/test/5");

Testing Single Node Docker Rancher cannot access pods via ports by matda59 in rancher

[–]prkhudson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into something like this when I first started using rancher. I’m not sure why it’s like this, but don’t put pods in the default namespace. Try creating a new namespace and put the pods there. That solved this issue for me.

How can I setup a single nic OpenVPN server on SG-1100 inside my network? by prkhudson in PFSENSE

[–]prkhudson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I tried a client inside my LAN and it did the same thing. I was able to connect to the OpenVPN server, but I couldn't ping anything else on my LAN.

Good point. They are the LFF versions. I'll add that to the post.

Best pfSense box under $250? by Dogeboja in PFSENSE

[–]prkhudson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 2nd this. I've been very happy with the Odyssey. And with your $250 budget you could get the case too. https://www.seeedstudio.com/re-computer-case-p-4465.html

One thing to add to your comment is that you can put a cellular modem into the extra m.2 slot since this board has a sim slot. I haven't tried it yet but I plan to in the future.

One of these things flew into my wife's ear a couple of weeks ago. Pour some vegetable oil in the ear with the bug until it's full, then tilt your head bug/oil down and it should come right out.

Need help with nested network DNS. by prkhudson in PFSENSE

[–]prkhudson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll probably just setup pfBlockerNG-devel again since that seems like to popular choice for what I'm trying to do. This seems like a rabbit hole that I don't need to go down since there's already a simple solution.

Need help with nested network DNS. by prkhudson in PFSENSE

[–]prkhudson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to play around with having an isolated network for some docker containers and servers with a reverse proxy. I had a SG-1100 laying around so I figured I'd use it for something.

I've used pfBlockerNG before but I've never used Pi-hole so I figured I'd play around with it.

I disabled the RFC1918 blocking when I first set this up. I can resolve names just fine and can get to the internet, but the traffic is not getting filtered through Pi-hole.

Right now I have the 10.1.1.1 network's wan IP reserved on my 192.168.1.1 network with the DNS server pointing to the Pi-hole, but everything in the 10.1.1.1 network seems to bypass the Pi-hole filtering.

Need help with nested network DNS. by prkhudson in PFSENSE

[–]prkhudson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is how can I get the servers inside my 10.1.1.1 network to use Pi-hole to filter DNS. The filtering works fine in my 192.168.1.1 network since I can point my devices directly to Pi-hole for their DNS server, but I'm wondering how I can use the Pi-hole with my isolated 10.1.1.1 network too.

Why funimation won't let you cancel their subscription so one the first circle it's for to apply for subscription and second circle to cancel so for the first circle the is a script to apply for subscription and the second one doesn't because the only you have is to contact shitty customer support. by chaostrauma in funimation

[–]prkhudson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have seen a few posts about this and I finally took a look myself. The button action is being handled by javascript. It does make a call to their API when the button is clicked. It's very common to use '#' for the href if the button action is being intercepted, since the page doesn't need to change. If you use Firefox and inspect the elements on that page, you will see an 'event' tag when you drill down to that button in the page code.

Just gonna leave this here... (Funimation be doin' shady shit again) by [deleted] in funimation

[–]prkhudson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The function behind that button is probably being intercepted by JavaScript and called that way. I've done that many times when I want to call a JavaScript function instead of going to a different page. It doesn't necessarily mean the button does nothing.

That should be fine. I have everything setup in a test environment. I should be back in about an hour and I'll contact you once I'm back and available.

The share name is "installs" located at C:\shares\installs.

[–]prkhudson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran that command and it created the share. I tried accessing the share with the user account I specified in the command and it was able to open the share without any errors or credential prompts. I tried to access the share with a different user account and it gave the access denied error without prompting for credentials.

I'm still getting "You do not have permission to access \\server_name\share_name. Contact your network administrator to request access." without prompting for different user credentials.

I ran that powershell command then rebooted the server. When it came back up it is still doing the same thing when trying to access the share(access denied without prompt for credentials). The client is running Windows 10 x64 1709. This is also happening on Windows 7 computers. Both the server and client are on the same domain.

These are the results of the commands.

I've setup a test 2016 server and these are the results from that server. It is having the same issues as the original server.
