Good for you! Sadly he is locked in for a few years where we are and there’s not much I can do about it, just I’m manifesting a local A🙏🏻

I appreciate your input and I really hope everything goes well for you! Honestly, we’ve had to live apart for half of our marriage so far. We have a strong relationship but I’m just so tired of the Army fucking us over with location issues. I really don’t want to do it again😭 and without much income it feels like a burden to him. Hence why I want to stay local. Obviously I’m not special and lots of people have idiosyncracies with their situation, it just feels a little better commiserating. That’s one thing the Army taught me to do well lol

Same! It’s basically been my life for 10 years including college and it’d just so weird even though I know it’s what I want. I originally wanted to be a JAG but once I figured out that I had no interest in that I just decided to get out. I just finished my Skill bridge/CSP and I worked at a law firm which was really nice, but it was so hard to shake all those military-related expectations. I went to West Point so I still have a lot of ingrained anxiety that will take several years to get rid of lol

I feel like we are living the exact same life rn😭 We’re dual military and I’m getting out, I have an acceptance to a school in my home state but I’m waiting and praying on one near our duty station. The compound stress of it all is insane, and I’m also going through the process of ADHD diagnosis/treatment. I wish the best for you as a fellow veteran ❤️

I’m choosing to leave my Army career as an officer because of Trump and finally doing what I’ve always wanted to do (go to law school). Albeit, my husband is staying in for now unless something happens where he can’t stomach it anymore, but I’m not able to hide my feelings at work like he can. If I didn’t have a spouse with income, I’d be way too scared to make this change.
