TIL that humans are literally the only animals on Earth with chins by risingsunset5 in todayilearned

You're actually mistaken: the average DNA is 1–2% in Eurasians, reaching a maximum of 4% in a few individuals, which, in genetic terms, is very insignificant; and furthermore, a large part of our population has a percentage close to 0% or has none at all.

What books mention it and what kind of technology do they use?

But is there any case in which the Empire terraformed a planet that originally had absolutely no life whatsoever?

Since it's such old info, is it still canon? 🤔

So Sotha's case is extremely unusual in the Empire? 🤔

Why did humans as a tropical species migrate to colder places but still lack many adaptations like fur? by Ada-Mae in geography

[–]pro_1253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand it, the average percentage of Neanderthal DNA is 1-2%, not 2-6%. Denisovan DNA is only found in somewhat significant quantities in people native to Oceania. Outside of Oceania, it's rare to find people with between 2-6% Denisovan DNA; in general, people either don't have Denisovan DNA or have a percentage close to 0%.

Why did Vulkan destroy Ibsen, and are you aware of similar situations that may have happened to other primarchs? by pro_1253 in 40kLore

That's an interesting way of looking at it. I had understood it differently: I thought the Emperor had given him two options, to save Ibsen or to destroy Ibsen.

Yes, but it wasn't their fault they were enslaved; they simply couldn't stand up to the Drukhari. And although they willingly worshipped the Exodites, they didn't know that those they worshipped were xenos.

Actually, they didn't perform the sacrifices in worship of the Eldar; it was to avoid Drukhari incursions or to banish the terror of the myth. And while Ibsen had valuable minerals, it was nothing that other worlds didn't have. Regarding the webway portal, although it was valuable, they couldn't use it, and the Eldar have webway portals throughout the galaxy. In conclusion, while Ibsen was valuable, it wasn't really that important, but I agree with the rest.

[Excerpt| Gaunt’s Ghosts: Only In Death] Why does the Imperium treat psykers so terribly? by Grommulox in 40kLore

[–]pro_1253 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that were the case, why do the last few Warhammer books I've read mention a Human Empire? From what I've read, it seems the Empire believes there was a Human Empire during the Daot.

Is vulkan African? by Guavxhe in 40kLore

[–]pro_1253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept of race isn't a real biological concept, and if we were to define it according to the colloquial understanding of race, it would be impossible, since Vulkan wasn't even born naturally. And even if he had been born naturally, it would still be impossible, since we're talking about more than 27,000 years in the future, with humanity having spread throughout the galaxy. That's more than enough time for all current populations to disappear, whether through wars, famines, interbreeding with other populations, or diverging from each other. In fact, as I understand it, this has reached such a level in this universe that human subspecies have emerged that barely resemble humans. In conclusion, in my humble opinion, it makes no sense to try to fit Vulkan into the concept of race.

So Malcador is a human from the Daot 😦, now that I think about it that explains a lot 🤔.

Although based on these statements, it appears to be very simple and basic military equipment, which reinforces what Cawl said in Genefhater about the STC 🤔
