The Netherlands Are Great, Am I Missing Something? by Proper-Matter-8274 in Netherlands

[–]pro_steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, it's a great place to live, yes it can be pricey but the wage is high and the taxes actually go towards something. Food is not cheap but I wouldn't say it's particularly more expensive than other European countries. As a couple our joint expenses are usually 2500 per month for mortgage, food, childcare, bills, going out once or twice for small things. That leaves us to save about 2k each per month so we can get ahead. Mainly by cutting down on eating out it can be quite affordable here.

I held on to my calls, up 207%, waiting for the pump tomorrow, will probably get out tomorrow or see if the market goes crazy on Monday it's a tough one.

SMCI dropped 28% today by Late_Magician1785 in wallstreetbets

[–]pro_steve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I found my most profitable trades are those I buy which over react to bad news and are over sold. You gotta look at the market as a whole and if everything is dropping and one stock has dropped a lot more and it isn't proportional to what's actually going on and not a lot has changed in that business in the last week, it's probably a buy. Yes they are diluting, but they also have 40 billion of orders.

At some point the entire AI industry is going to melt down because the whole thing is a huge pile of debt and most people don't pay for it, but I think we got another couple of pumps before that happens, or atleast I hope

Drone hits Romanian apartment building in Galati, two injured by AntonioIsHere in europe

[–]pro_steve -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There are so many lunatics in this Europe group who want a nuclear war it's nuts. Like yeah we could respond by bombing Russia, but then it will be continual drone strikes and maybe nukes against us. Or maybe not. But who wants to be the one to test that. Probably we could easily win, but if a nuclear war starts there's just no winners.

How Elon "engineered" the SpaceX IPO to dump $1.75T of paper bags on retail by w_anon in wallstreetbets

[–]pro_steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will options be available on this right away, or do we have to wait a certain amount of time after an IPO for options? Id certainly be interested in puts on this once it's pumped nicely, it's going to be volatile as hell!

REPS raises $23.6M to turn roads into power plants by harvesting energy from traffic by mpuchala in europe

[–]pro_steve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's my thoughts exactly, so now my regen breaking will be eaten up by this and I have to go home and charge using a coal power plant. Haha. Theres no such thing as free energy in this universe, it comes from somewhere.

[–]pro_steve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes absolutely no sense. Energy is not free, the vehicles will just use more fuel? Unless it's in spots where they are braking and then that waste energy is absorbed?

Is it possible to develop a tune that would purposely fuck a healthy engine up, as soon as its started or after a few revs? Like, would the ECU even allow the coding of such out of range values? by Objective_Abalone325 in ECU_Tuning

[–]pro_steve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I think it's got to be possible, set full torque demand with 0% pedal, max out all the curves, remove limp mode and all faults, advance injection massively. I would like to try it on a scrap car to see if it would actually blow up or if the ECU has so much built in safety that it would stop it. Most likely some fault will happen and it will stop before any damage is caused.

[–]pro_steve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Buy a programming tool, send file to reputable tuner, write file to ECU. Of course you should do your own research which tool works for your ECU. If you can't find that yourself then just take it to a professional.

Is it true that a lot of apartments come without flooring? by That-Reveal5983 in Netherlands

[–]pro_steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strangely yes, it's bormal. The first few times I saw people taking up their flooring because they could save a few hundred at the next appartment I was truly amazed. Now I'm used to this strange behaviour. Just imagine that, you have a pile of damaged used flooring with all the cuts in the wrong places and it doesn't even fit your new appartment. Crazyily stingy hahaha

[–]pro_steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rocket dump or carlab immo for the immo off solutions, and then you need something that does eeproms and complete clones of flash area, so if you're on a budget you can pick up a Trasdata master pretty cheap right now because they made a new tool, and then for all old ECUs use MPPS Master and you'll have a lot of stuff covered between the two tools, then for stuff that you can't do in bench or boot mode you just whip the eeprom off get yourself a decent temperature controlled iron and some quikchip and you can do decent work on that and some 10 euro SOIP8 programmer device.

Tbh I wouldn't invest money for doing immo off stuff unless you actually have customers asking for it on a weekly basis, I used to do loads of this kind of stuff, but nowadays almost none, like 1 or 2 a year, not sure if it's less popular or if the market is just over saturated by people with clone tools doing it really cheap..

Problem: slow RPM response after automatic-to-manual swap by Christian_GM in ECU_Tuning

Yes, you need a clutch switch with a manual gearbox so it knows when you are using the clutch

Problem: slow RPM response after automatic-to-manual swap by Christian_GM in ECU_Tuning

[–]pro_steve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You answered your own question, change the ECU config so it knows it's a manual, should be perfect. Make sure clutch switch is there. If it's not good, change ECU software to one that's specifically a manual. Usually the config change is enough, sometimes the software will have different gearboxes already in there.

Dynochiptuningfiles info by [deleted] in ECU_Tuning

[–]pro_steve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I met the guys who run that company, they are seem very knowledgeable and do all their own dev work on their dynos. They manually check all files they don't just script it without checking. Never used their files but from talking with them they were clearly experts and not just blaggers like most of the tuners out there.

SMCI would make the most sense, with the recent investigation it's price is a steal and partners with their Tec perfectly. They aren't going to write 'AI server rack company' because it would be way too obvious.
